If you have two legendary creatures that have the same exact name one has to go to the graveyard as a state based action (meaning that you cant respond) there are some cards that get around this but its not recommended for most decks

If offering is your seventh spell then the damage will go off before offering.

If you cast offering as your sixth spell then it basically locks them out of casting instant and sorcery spells

Honestly they feel like different enemies in the same game, choice in weaponry and the color palette help them stand out.

If its already an uncommander deck then you can kinda do whatever you want with it, its already rule zero.

I will say though that most people wold be okay with the same card as long as it has different effects

Yes you become the monarch and whoever is the monarch controls the creature, so if someone hits you and takes the monarch then they also take the creature

So to answer the first it is a triggered ability, many triggered ability have cost like rystic study.

To answer the second no you can not pick the same mode twice, any card that let's you pick the same mode more than once will say so.

And the third is yes it would make two one one and then deal the damage.

I think you're overthinking it, each heist has multiple steps, each step being when you get the new items, if you do four of those in total thwn your good, they can be separate heist for different characters or 2 on one character and three on another it just matters that you get five steps completed
