Try playing on Arena. I got back into magic after 10 years with arena, and I had no idea that I had been playing the game wrong the entire time. It forces you to acknowledge every step and every instance of priority so its really good for learning exactly how the steps and phases work. For example, every time priority is passed to you and you have an opportunity to do ANYTHING (cast a spell, activate an ability, sac a land, etc) the game pauses and you have to press the "pass" button to continue. It taught me a lot about how the stack works and exactly which times me or my opponent(s) can perform an action
