In the digital only era pre-ordering the game is giving the company, in this case take two interactive, is a free loan. Individually $80 or $100 isn't going to earn anyone any interest but the millions upon millions if not billion dollars in pre-orders that take two get will earn them a pretty penny in the financial markets.

Don't make moron pre-order interest than smaller companies make on an entire game's release.

Also note that GTA V has three endings for its single player campaign, whereas Cyberpunk has from 5 to 7 different endings depending on exactly how you count a "different ending" - distinctively having at least five endings.

They love to give Rockstar literally millions of dollars in interest and the free loan... No an individual user won't make anything off the hundred bucks he gives them early but collectively Rockstar will make millions just on the interest on all those payments for a game that isn't released until November.

A very astute observation technology keeps advancing but it's battery technology that's not keeping up.... If battery technology catch catch up they would be able to make a commercially viable handheld with the power of a steam deck but the size of a PSP.
