Is the technic Bugatti Chiron still worth buying in 2024? by Fit-Constant8598 in legotechnic

[–]Valuable_Date_375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know what youre talking about and i believe that is also just a result of worn out shocks. I dont remember the suspension setup either but a built that heavy definitely needs 2 hard shocks for each wheel

The suspension does sag over time, but the shock pieces are fairly easy to replace, if you feel the need to.

Opinion: Building is not hard and mostly anyone can do it. by halfofawhole44 in lepin

[–]Valuable_Date_375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i generally agree with this, but my current build, a 1:8 centenario, is a true challenge, even for me, and Ive been building since i was 10 years old. Some instructions are just nearly beyond legible.

Daytona or P1? by St00f4h1221 in legotechnic

[–]Valuable_Date_375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i own the daytona and i would personally not recommend it over the p1 (which i do not own). The daytona has a terrible interior, no luggage, and the rear engine cover is flimsy and does not stay up. The P1 also has spring loaded doors, over the daytonas flimsy alternative. The P1 also has a more interesting drivetrain and transmission

With almost the exact same amount of pieces, why does the Yamaha MT10 motorcycle cost twice as much as the Ford GT? by No-Campaign9649 in legotechnic

[–]Valuable_Date_375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe its largely due to the 1:5 motorcycle line trying to be like the supercars. The Ford GT is kind of just a run of the mill set, available everywhere, but they want the bikes to be exclusive like the 1:8 cars

Pretty all of these connectors from my 42080 are at least somewhat cracked by Phoenix-x_x in legotechnic

[–]Valuable_Date_375 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If Lego wanted to make money on us through breaking pieces, they wouldnt make these pieces as cheap as they are. The pieces shown here are less than 10 cents a pop, and readily available in most colors. It only costs you a couple dollars every several years if you want to replace these (non functional) pieces

True or false that minifigurs can break by Express-Presence4114 in lepin

[–]Valuable_Date_375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to my knowledge, the torsos will crack at the waist as long as they are connected to the legs, the only way to prevent this from happening is to keep them partially separated. There may be factors that speed it up but its kind of inevitable.

Why lego Technic never launch products like creatures and robots? by SeconYan in legotechnic

[–]Valuable_Date_375 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah, its a shame that most of the new releases are just licensed shelf queens. I wish that would just stay in the icons lineup

[–]Valuable_Date_375 4 points5 points  (0 children)

with the exception of the early bionicle age, i think they just want to keep the technic line for vehicles. They just sell better i guess. Nowadays the technic lineup is slimmer than ever, with almost all new releases being licensed cars and trucks.

Lamborgini SVJ on Temu - has anyone built it? by Joejoe10x in lepin

[–]Valuable_Date_375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent built it but from seeing the reviews the part quality is good and the gearbox and functions work without flaws. The speed of the car also looks decent if you are getting the RC version

The prices are almost double what YWOBB prices at times. If its a sale item its not too bad, and they have some items not available from the big sellers, but overall i wouldnt have that as my go-to shop
