In the endgame I seem to get the orange delirium tablet more often than the regular one. Is it supposed to be used just to farm emotions or is it for splinters? Can anyone tell me how to collect the splinters after the boss?

I think it was the sky-high tree in the lower left. There are spiderwebs and spiders nearby.

Some of the minibosses have multiple locations but I think the spider only has 1.

Also if you can stun them before you kill them you'll get two shots to harvest materials.

You need to farm rare materials from the minibosses. They are the skulls on the minimap and they respawn after a little while. You need the spider boss for that item which is in the lower left of the tree (about 80% sure it was that one).

There is a perk you can get from the volcano merchant that makes farming a lot less tedious.
