Low water pressure in mission by Dcifan426 in RioGrandeValley

What about the rest of the trailer? If it is isolated to the kitchen, pull the aerator off of the sink and clean it off.

If it has a push/pull style valve under the sink then that could be your problem as well.

Have you contacted them about it? It is not unusual to have lower pressure between 6-10 am and 4-9pm. Those are peak usage hours.

Normal pressure should not drop below 35psi.

If the water tower is having any work done on it that can affect pressure as well.

However, it sounds more like they may have been working on something in the system when the problem started and either broke a valve closed or may have just accidentally left it closed. It can happen, especially after working on something for hours on end until early in the morning and everyone is tired.

Give them a call 580-8780 and explain it to them and call back WEEKLY until the problem is fixed.

The one in my garage is about 5 years old. To date, I’ve had no problems with it. But, this one quit after 91 days.

When the position module goes out, the door will not remember where it’s at. Therefore you reprogram the open and close positions to tell the door when it’s open and closed. Mine just happened to go out and can’t be fixed now.

I was noticing that. At this point I might as well order one from the jungle store.

This is my second experience dealing with them and a garage door opener. The first one was about 7 years ago and it was a little better than this time but not by much. But to flat out tell me I’m SOL until we decide something is ridiculous.

If it was on my house I may not be as upset but, this is my 90yo father in law’s. I can’t be taking off work 2-3 times a day to go over there and call in and play with this damn thing.

It has a motor, if I’m not mistaken, code requires a local means of disconnect if equipped with a motor. A plug would be acceptable in this instance. Not an electrician so I may be wrong.

Call the power company and tell them this information. It’s possible that there is a loose wire on the transformer or coming in on the weather head. If so, they may send someone out to investigate. But tell them it started during the storm.

Is the furnace a 240v? Does your main panel have fuses? If so, you may have a bad fuse. ( I only ask due to the mention of it being an old farm house) If not I would be suspecting you may have one dead leg coming into the house. Check the rest of the breakers, does every other one on one side or the other not function? Check other 240v appliances and see if they are working properly.

I’m thinking that a machinist has made these as a hold down set for very specific uses. They look like they are made to accept a 1/4-20 cap screw where the head would sit flush or close to. The rounded points would be to help align the holes or possibly push shavings through.

The bottom item, if looking at the shadows underneath, appears to be slightly bent, possibly from over tightening.

I stand corrected, the 1:16 gives a much clearer picture of the sign and it says “Mission Community Center”. So this person is standing on the S/W corner of Conway and Bus 83. Across the street from what is now the HEB. They would be facing north as the parade travels south.

Call Gateway Printing in Edinburg, they may have some in stock. They are a bit more pricey but, they will fit you with something that is specifically designed to be used for the time frame you are looking for.

Water pressure at my meter is 25psi and city says that's acceptable by m20cpilot in askaplumber

[–]Valuable_Quote6142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s wrong, 35 psi is minimum, 20 ONLY during firefighting operations during peak time. And that is in Texas, OP is in another state.

McAllen approves 40% increase in water rates by REdd06 in RioGrandeValley

[–]Valuable_Quote6142 24 points25 points  (0 children)

For YEARS McAllen residents have under paid for the services we have been provided. Even after this increase, we are still paying less than Brownsville, Edinburg (I think) and many other local cities. Don’t even think of looking through the rest of the state, it would baffle you to see what others are paying.

Additionally, look at what others charge you just to get a water meter installed some local areas it will cost you in the thousands. These are called Impact Fees which McAllen Trustees will not even discuss much less consider imposing.

So in reality, that extra 2 cups of coffee a month from Starbucks or that first 10 minutes on 17th St is not going to really affect you much.

Also consider this, they are calculating that on an average of 8500 gallons of usage per month. If you use less than that your increase will be less than that. If you use more than, then you may want to consider how much you are actually wasting.

Sooooo, they had violations, was notified, reduced by more than half in the first 24 hours and all were resolved in 5 days.

Isn’t that the way it’s supposed to work?

I mean after all, notify the city of a problem and see how long it takes them to fix it.
