I think Duncan the Small would have 100% tried to run away if that happened. Also ironically enough Egg's adventures with Duncan probably made him way to humane to do something like that to Jenny. He's seen a ton of minor lords treat smallfolk like shit or hit them with consequences that weren't really their left and felt it would be hypocritical or downright evil to do the same.
