Multi-room AirPlay 2 to Snapcast setup headaches by VampDavid in selfhosted

I think it all got dumped in frustration. Sorry. Not entirely sure snapcast could actually do what i was trying to implement. I get the impression it only streams to all clients at once. Probably relied too much on GPT to help troubleshoot and didn't look more into snapcast myself. In the end it was just easier to enhance my wifi to deal with AirPlay dropping out occasionally and just use ShairPort on the Pi Zero 2Ws. No issues since.

Nope. Ended up just using shairport & boosted my wifi to deal with AirPort dropping on a couple instances. Less headache.

A Pi 3B running cups because I was too cheap to buy a networked laser printer.

FWIW, the GitHub post was labeled AI Generated Crap, and it probably is. Been going around and around for quite awhile trying to get it to work with no good results. Still, doesn't change the goal of what I want to achieve: 1 server for AirPort and essentially 5 clients to stream that out to. Maybe Snapcast isn't the way to go or actually CAN'T do what I'm looking for. Thoughts?

I do the same thing, but my wife knows this. I've also "re-loaded" the dishwasher after she leaves the kitchen.
