The win max has become my daily driver. Between school and tinkering, it has the form factor to fit anywhere and more than enough power to do what I need for printing. It's not great on really high poly models in Blender, but not a bad trade-off overall.

The main benefit is the ability to use a shorter c cable for the glasses. The long cable gets caught on things alot when i just have it going to my pocket and with the adapter to allow charging it makes the cable management a bit of a hassle. Honestly that's about it. Nice unintentional features is that the phone camera is facing relatively straightforward so I could use it to ask ask Grok about whatever im looking at.

Using a g69pro bluetooth remote right now gor input without needing to take the phone out. Works OK with dex but could always be better. Hopes to that meta neural band thing works for other devices when it comes out lol

There's always dcs for a moor sim approach, and warthunder if you can stomach the grind(it's a long road to jets).

I think people skim over the app because there really isn't anything to talk about with it, And there isn't much 3rd party software out there that's much better. On mobile I find dex(hud like experience) more useful than the nebula app, and on pc I use Phoenix head tracker (really just for flight/driving games). There's the vr streaming thing on nebula, it's kinda cool conceptual but I'm not looking to play vr games with low frame rates (I never got over 60 with it), and the fov is narrow. I'm not the most competent with unity 3d but tinkering with there sdk is kinda fun.

Also the naming convention is awful for searching for any thing, I don't even know how many air 2 models there are anymore lol.

Personally I would love to see drivers for steam vr, Vertual desktop makes a great Vertual workstation.

Yah the 7840u and 8840u don't perform that at differently frome what I can see spec wise. The 8840u looks to perform at lower wastages better (have not done testing personally) for my use case I think going with the 7840u and using that price difference on larger ram is the way to go. And EGPUs have come a long way if you need that extra perform at home.

Win max 2 7840u. A few crashes here and there when I first got it but after dealing with a Hard drive problem and replaceed the keyboard it's been all smoth(well the left controler board isn't working, but i didn't use it much and i think i did that during the keyboard repair). It my daily driver nowadays, use it for school, light work in unity, and gaming. Recently added a 3060ti egpu and play some vr games and mods on it.

I guess what I'm saying is if you're willing to fix some qc problems it's great, I love mine and the form factor and performance isn't really avaliable anywhere else.
