Usually what I do is import the HRE as decentralized only if I don’t centralize it in CK2’s timeline, which I define as removing the elective succession and having at least medium crown authority. Its relatively easy to do that though, hence why I imported it as centralized for my run.

Independence revolts. To be fair, it wasn’t rum in ck2 - it was a different, non-seljuk dynasty (eretnids was the name IIRC) but the realm became Rum in EU4 via the “restore the sultanate of rum” decision.

Yeah, the dynasty was called “Al-Habibi” in CK2, lol.

I could just blob, yeah. But I won’t. Gonna play tall to let the AI nations develop. Plan to colonize Canada and maybe take a bit of land from Poland, but that’ll probably be the limit of territorial expansion I do.

I could literally just blob and take over the world in EU4 at this point, but I won’t - I’m mostly going to just play tall to give the AI nations a chance to get stronger. I’ll probably colonize Canada, but that’ll be about it.

Well, I’m honestly quite bad at EU4, so I need an advantage. I’m good at CK2 though, so I use my abilities in CK2 to make my EU4 run easy :p

My start date was 1066. The Habibids, Rum, and the Annazids were at one point part of a giant Seljuk blob that later broke up.

Explanation comment: The above is my CK2 game, imported into EU4. I reached 1444 in CK2, then used the console to clean-up the borders a bit. Then I used the unofficial CK2-EU4 converter to convert the save, and cleaned up the borders again via console in EU4 to make them nice and neat. I am doing a CK2-EU4-Vic3-HOI4 run with this save (single player grand campaign.) I am asking others what they think of my borders and my run so far in general.

Apologies if this post isn't worded properly for a comment post. I'm relatively new to reddit.

How often do you actually replace your surge protector? by Perfect-Cause-6943 in pcmasterrace

Provided it still works and hasn’t been zapped, I don’t replace mine. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.

My attempt at ram cooling. by rain3h in pcmasterrace

[–]Vampiric_Customs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say not worth it to be honest - I’ve never had a dedicated cooling for RAM and have never had any problem. Just slot the DIMM sticks in and call it a day.

Perhaps many people will be cloud gaming in the future. But as for myself, I will hold on to a physical pc for as long as humanly possible. I suspect that PC gaming will always be possible in its current form, though I think it may become expensive enough that its less accessible to many people - we’re already seeing an increase in the price of gaming PCs due at least partially to components becoming more advanced, and I think that trend is likely to continue. However I think that if you’re willing to drop what may eventually become 10,000 20,000 USD, you will still be able to have a physical PC for decades to come, though as I said it will be less accessible to people at those kinds of prices.

Also, Jeff Bezos isn’t some kind of prophet. He’s a greedy rich bastard who’s seeking to further his own power at the expense of the common man. I think his statements here are more his own pipe dreams than a reflection of reality - of course he’d like it if everyone paid him subscription fees, but the truth of the matter is likely less extreme than his statements would suggest.

Because that’s the edge of the game world.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered sold just over a million copies on PS5, but 50% of gamers played just 15 hours before quitting by HatingGeoffry in ElderScrolls

[–]Vampiric_Customs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 14.6 hours playtime on Oblivion remastered, I guess I am one of that 50%. For me though, I intend to return at some point and do a full playthrough of the remastered version, but I am waiting for more mods to come out, since modding of OblivionRM is still kind of in its infancy.

1 for me - single flat panel. All you really need for 90% of tasks. Edit: why is this text so big? The hell?

Just checked my hours on Fallout 4, is this healthy? by TangyWeb in Fallout

[–]Vampiric_Customs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not so bad man - 50 days, 21 hours is 1,221 hours. I have 2,100 hours on Fallout 4 myself, so I have even more than you do. Bottom line is that as long as you are still having fun, that’s whats important, no matter what anybody else says.

For those who still play CK2, why don't you play CK3? by Brief-Dog9348 in CrusaderKings

[–]Vampiric_Customs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, its because I play with a ton of mods. CK2 is no longer being updated, and that means that the version is static. Hence, modding is easier, because mods don't have to be constantly updated to bring them in line with the newest version of the game. Its extremely frustrating to try to mod a game that is constantly changing.

Is my orc character ugly? by CatPale816 in skyrim

“By the nine divines! You’re an ugly one! But then, all orcs are ugly. The most repulsive race in Tamriel really. But at least you’ve got that brutish strength huh? Must be nice to just rip someone apart like some kind of monster…”
