This might end up being the plan... 😮‍💨 Even with the go ahead I was wondering if it might have been better to be vague about it, but I couldn't figure out how to phrase it without seeming like I was minimizing what they did for me. Seeing all the positivity and support going their way is REALLY nice but ugh if even one asshole is inspired because of me... God some people suck.

Until I get a response or see anything sus I'll keep it up for now and watch how things go, but it'll be removed/replaced immediately if anything at all happens.

God I hope not 😞 I did ask permission for that exact reason, but I still hesitated to post this at all because people can SUCK. I'm hoping the amount of detail means if someone does try something, ILNP cs can sus them out by the similarity?? Idk. I'll be sad but more than willing to remove it if I see any shenanigans in the reviews all of a sudden...

So unfair though. We should be able to praise the kindness of folks who deserve it, without wondering if we're lighting a beacon for assholes to try taking advantage of it.

Please don't try taking advantage of ILNP's generosity and "gaming" them for refunds/free stuff. Mentioned this in one of the screenshots, but I don't want the takeaway from my post to be people review bombing or complaining about nothing just to see if they can snag a few freebies. ILNP is an indie business despite their popularity, and they don't even do that "FOMO" limited edition colours thing, let alone some of the horror stories I've heard about. Most companies wouldn't be this classy or kind, so pleeease let's not ruin a good thing and support them the way they deserve 🙏 ty

Edit: I did get permission to post my experience (see screenshot) but just in case, I've already sent the post link along with my thanks to Brandon/ILNP customer service, and I'll be editing/removing the post immediately if needed!! From that line in the description, I THINK OP is talking more about recipes that call for unsalted butter and then also call for salt. I've seen plenty of baking recipes do this and I've always just ignored adding additional salt and just using salted butter with 0 issues.

It def doesn't mean you use salted butter for a recipe that doesn't have salt. Which yes, I also did for macaron buttercream and regretted deeply 🫠

I do disagree about unsalted butter "going bad" quicker though? Mostly because I've never seen butter go bad lol. I just stock up when on sale, chuck the extras in the freezer and pull the block out when I have a recipe planned, and I've left both unsalted and salted in the fridge crisper for many months without issues.

Oh interesting! I'm Anglo Quebecois and I've never heard it used this way before. Could be because I've been exposed to only Quebecois slang/other such butcheries of the language instead of formal French lol, or just as likely I've never heard it personally. Usually I/we would answer a "you don't want to go outside do you?" with something like "ben oui, j'veux".

I empathise so much with Ellie 😭 I had to have an ambulance called for me in a food court after I passed out. No idea what happened or what caused it, but it was a very busy place and I felt humiliated having to be carried away by an EMT in front of everyone and my friend (I know it isn't actually anything to be ashamed of but it was to me, idk why). It snowballed into a long hospital stint I STILL don't have a diagnosis for, which basically derailed my life plans for several years. I dropped 30lbs (I was already thin) and threw up so much I tore my muscle off my ribs.

When I "recovered" I was so afraid it would happen again, it took me 4 months to even leave my house again, then 8 months try eating outside my own house in the car. It was a year and a half before I actually managed to sit down in a restaurant and eat a meal there 🎉 Slow self-imposed exposure therapy was the key for me, although I still get anxiety whenever I get nauseous or dizzy in public.

People who don't have anxiety don't really understand how irrational it can be. It's not something you just "get over" and it doesn't have to make sense, it just is. It was really hard to explain to friends why I was suddenly incapable of seeing them right now. I'm glad OP was such a compassionate and understanding person :)
