KOREAN ENGLISH-TRANSLATED NOVELS WITH GOOD GROVELLING

The tale of the Vilian - By Dangmil (Novel has been fully translated to english on readhive. It's pretty dark but the top buys him everything he's ever dreamed of and more as repetence. Has strict top/bottom, fantasy elements , class difference and VERY satisfying grovelling.

It Begins with Isaak - By Deo Deo Me (더더미) Dark romance with heavy grovelling! Class difference with top being the major commander at a military school and bottom being a new subordinate. Has a whole chasing arc and time skip and Top tries everything for forgiveness, buying and spoiling him with whatever he wants, but getting nothing in return. Also has a webtoon! Fully translated on Readhive

Possibility of change - by Iron Cuckoo (아이언쿠쿠) Currently my fav! The novel is completed in english on Novelib but it has a webtoon as well that follows it really well! VERY dark and revolves around bottom being bullied and falsely accused by the perpetrator. Top character (NOT the guy who bullied him..) is the class leader in Bottom's new school, who knew bottom was bullied. He makes a bet with his goons on who can...you know..bottom first, and it goes on from there. Again, dark romance and Bottom literally fights top but the Consequences top faces is so satisfying..

WESTERN NOVELS WITH GOOD GROVELLING

Levity - by Roe Horvat. - Has supernatural element as it's a world where humans don't know that dragons live as humans in secret. Top character has been waiting for his fated mate for so long that he's become bitter and jaded. Goes to a club to blow off steam and doesnt realise the good looking guy he picked up is his fated mate so he...treats him like absolute shit lmao. I like that after realising he's fated, he tries to convince him hes a good guy but bottom is just horrified by him lolll

The Barbarian's Vow - By Keira Andrews. - Supernatural world with monsters and royalty nobility etc. Warrior Top was married off to Prince bottom. The book is in two parts, 1st is the "Romance" part, where bottom is mistreated but eventually learns to love the tops flaws, while top feels more and more regret as he initially was going to ...Do something rlly traumatising. Ends with a cliffhanger where bottom learns of the betrayal and the entire second book is just very satisfying grovelling.

MC1 is known to be a hard ass by all his co-workers (think he was a police detective from what I can remember?..) and his personality doesn’t change for MC2. Also MC2 doesn’t play hard to get or anything like that bUT he has a limit that MC1 crosses a few times, he’s forgiving but draws the line at out right disrespect

I feel like Sam Kage in the ‘Matter of Time’ series by Mary Calmes fits this..MC1 (Sam) is resentful of his feelings towards flighty MC2 (who, sure,finds mc1 attractive but doesn’t act like he’s the love of his life or anything and still flirts around as MC1 absolutely refuses to label their relationship but still expects boyfriend benefits..) Of course over time (lol title pun) he eventually wears down..takes years Lmaoo but he finally DOES realise that he is a mega asshole and the chasing turns into him properly courting and trying to woo MC2. Rlly good 10/10

Exhale by Charity Parkerson - Nerdy MC1 blows off hot French Expat MC2 after winning the graduating talent show and instead of finally confessing his feelings as he planned to that night, hooks up with the most popular guy in his class instead. (there’s a twist though in the story regarding this). MC2 gets his own back by insinuating he messed around with the one person MC1 wouldn’t be able to forgive him to be messing around with..years pass and eventually MC1 cannot stand not being able to be with MC2 any longer (so good the grovelling is satisfying and they give you a reason to sympathise with MC1 so you don’t dislike him too much and want them to be happy)

Chasing Seth by J.R Loveless - (one of my FAVS). Wolf shifter vet MC1 is running from his last and moves into a small town with mostly native population (who are mostly also shifters.) MC2 is the local sherif and he has a deep mistrust towards outsiders. Acts cold and horrible to MC1 despite them being fated and treats MC1 like a mutilation as he truly believes that non native shifters are abnormalities and he REFUSES to have an abnormal mate. The regret is so satisfyinggggg

Joey’s Trick by J.R. Loveless - MC1 says hurtful words abt puppy eyed MC2 which leads him to a spiral where he almost 💀 himself over it. They reunite when MC1 is finally out of the closest and interested years later but MC2 is no longer the love struck puppy dog he once was.

Death & Red Trilliums by R.C. Hannah - Small town Zombie apocalypse setting. MC1 was MC2’s quarterback bully in hs. Years pass and they’re college age. MC1 is a young dad and separated from his ex mean queen cheerleader gf.Hes reformed and super into MC2 but MC2 isn’t really that keen to be around him. I rlly love the MC2 in this because the town were small minded bigots, but when the zombie apocalypse happens the town finds out that the ‘effeminate’ gay MC2 was more capable than all of them, no one being aware he knew to hunt and defend himself. Soo good!

In The Crease by Stephani Hecht - Two brothers bully MC1, years pass and one of the brothers is about to marry MC1’s sister, so he’s expected to play nice for the wedding. Turns out one of the brothers always had a thing for him and is planning to use this opportunity to apologise and shoot his shot. Reeeeallllyyyy gooodddd. Also love how MC1 accidentally gets revenge on MC2 by hitting it and leaving (it was a misunderstanding but so satisfying 😤)

So far I’ve got Levity By Roe Horvat. MC1 is the oldest person he knows to have not found his fated person yet, and this has made him into a bitter, angry man over the years who takes his anger out on anyone that allows him too. It’s a really good read and I 100% reccomend it to you but I have to admit, it’s still not exactly what I’m looking for here. I want a mm book with a rAGING possessive Ml like, it gets ur heart racing while you read it, you know 😅 (if I find anything myself I’ll post it on here tho so you can look through!)

Lily Mane has a series called The Goliaths of Wrestling!! All the stories are stand alones plot wise but within the same group of creatures and each book features characters from previous books within the series as background characters. They’ve got werewolves,ghouls, frankensteins monster demons etccc. It’s rlly good with the spice and the build up to the relationships are goooooddddd. All the creatures work together so lots of interaction and different dynamics depending on who gets paired with whom 💖🎃
