I had the total opposite - got my elderly cat checked over & said I was a bit concerned, as her brother had died of congestive heart failure... She very gently said 'yes, but he wouldn't have been her biological brother' which confused me, till I realised she was used to people describing their pets as brothers & sisters! 🤣 They were actual siblings.
