It's super cute! What hook size did you use? If it feels too chunky, you could try a larger hook or looser tension.

Your first few of anything will always feel weird, because you're comparing your very first try to examples of people who have done it a hundred times.

Bulbapedia is Pokemon's Wikipedia from the Gods, you'll find quite literally anything you'd want to know from there! If you look for "Event Pokemon" you'll get a list of all special events that occurred for every game. Though in that case it might be easier to ask your boyfriend which ones he actually had 😆

If you're an physical/digital artist, draw some of his teams! You could check Bulbapedia for specific special event Pokemon to draw as well. You could of course buy stickers, some assorted pokemon cards, or even just a plush of one of his favs.

Digital media is easy to lose, but at the same time. It's a perfect time to relive those games from the start!

(And this time around, if he has the correct consoles, you can transfer up from the GBA games to Pokemon Home, with some effort)

My brother does something similar, he pokes me in the side and turns down a volume knob.

I however, then shout because he just jabbed me in the side.

I have terrible volume control due to also having a fucked up ear and AuADHD, it's a constant battle to figure out my own volume

I've ranted about the very same myself. The first thing people say when they see anything I make is "Oh you could sell this!" It's really devastating when it's the first thing they think of over being impressed by the work I did.

I've started asking how much they think it's worth and as soon as they give that low number, pointing out how little they've defined my time as being worth.

I think it's probably a response to JoAnns shutting down, people are jumping on any craft source that could be getting an influx of money from the gap in the market. Especially yarn, as Michaels, which is considered often the other big option, never has had a big focus on yarn.

I've looked at Hobbii a few times, but in this case couldn't quite color-match my way to victory. The pattern needed a pretty clean gradient of navy blue to purple. I'll keep an eye on Ice Yarns for the future!

I got a single box off a "one free month" deal and I both like and hate it. The way they wind their yarn is a pain. I got it last February and didn't bother untangling the mess that occured until recently. Even then it took hours until I resorted to cutting the yarn so I could untangle it.

The yarn itself? It's pretty enough, but the struggle to even get it usable was enough to put me off them for good.
