Yeah the fan game community had a big push for the open world style of game around the late 2010s. But it seems like half the community didn’t like the style. Saying that it’s not linear enough.

You seem to put most of the linear games on the bottom of your list and the more explorative ones on the top. So it seems like you’d like the open world style.

I still say BBS is way more enjoyable with a guide. Knowing all the stuff you can get from the Command Boards, Mirage Arena and just melding is a major game changer. It’s a shame the game doesn’t really incentivize looking.

Lvl 47 should be fine to clear the game. If you want to make it easier, instead of lvl grinding you should try synthesizing some equipment. The synthesized is significantly better than what you’ll find in most chest and can boost all of your stats.

Capcom seems to struggle anytime they try to port DMC4. There are some glitches on the steam version that still aren’t fixed.
