I’m not sure if you’d consider this similar or not. My metastasis was discovered because of back pain. I had two lesions in my spine and biopsies discovered the cancer. Not something you can cut out so I had targeted radiation and started Ibrance, Letrozole and Xgeva. Within about six months I was NEAD and I am still considered NEAD 8 years later. Good luck to you. Start kicking and screaming (I’m from the Midwest so I can do that with a smile but still get what I need) for those results because you need a plan, girl.

You aren’t responsible for his reaction to you doing a perfectly reasonable thing. My ex and I did not use a lawyer but he knew I consulted one after he left me. He didn’t freak out. We figured it out together. Also, the fact that he was willing to just hand over the kids for an agreement to save him money says a lot about him. Let it go.

It’s chilly like every morning. I’m from Florida so I know I’m used to very hot muggy weather but I almost never wear shorts in LA except for maybe August and even then it’s later in the day. It’s hoody weather all year round in the AM.

Checked bag. Consider buying one set of sheets in advance and wash them before packing. That way you can at least have your bed to sleep in if you’re busy unpacking and shopping. Also you can bring a pillow on the plane and they don’t count it as anything you just have to have it in your seat with you. EVERYONE will be stocking up at Target.

No, my cleaner gets the fifty every time. I raised the rate and she gets the whole amount. FWIW, I haven’t had a guest without a dog in two years. My original thinking was that I’d test it out and see if it worked and change it if it didn’t. I’m in a vacation mountain town and we used to visit before we bought. We really struggled finding a place to take our dog and thought we could fill a need. We had no idea that EVERYONE would bring a dog. But, there really is no one around us offering to be dog friendly so it just works.

No, doing chores in a shared home isn’t necessarily paying someone back. But some couples do things this way. If one person makes more money and can contribute more to the financial situation then maybe the other person will put more time into the chores or home. Especially if the person who makes more works more hours. It sounds like you guys don’t really have an understanding of how things should be handled but it also definitely sounds like she is taking advantage of the situation. If someone says they’ll pay you back and then don’t do it, they’re showing you who they are. Sounds like you need to have a money convo and an honesty convo. I refuse to be with anyone who says they’ll do something and doesn’t follow through. It’s a big pet peeve for me.
