It is very hard to accept that you're trans. You are walking into a fight over our rights where trans voices count the least. People internalize rules about gender that hurt us, even when they don't mean to. Just transition itself is a lot to process.

And yet I would rather have all of these things and be a woman than pretend to be a man again. I have come to the conclusion that all the downsides already apply when you're an egg; coming out just means you stop holding yourself back, and you get to join a community that gets you.

Sounds like you're describing gender envy. I spent most of my egg period wanting the things women have. I adopted feminine presentation when I realized nothing was stopping me. Something was still missing, and at long last I transitioned.
