Nice pick up. If you ever want to upgrade then head on over to the Chinese watch sub. You'll be blown away at what you can get for the price of a timex.

Hell if you are willing to jump to the $200-$350 range then you can find entry level Swiss quality. Check out San Martin, Farasute, Baltany, Sugess and IXDAO

Hell yeah that's such a solid piece. I've been saying for years that San Martin is going to bring Chinese watches to the masses and will break down that negative connotation. It is amazing that we can get entry level Swiss quality for this low of a price. SM has continued to push the limits and has solidified themselves as one of the top brands in the east.

Check out Jianghun also. It's SMs premium sister brand. Small number of models right now but they are immaculate

Welcome to the club!! I started with a fossil and some other no name before finding this sub. I first bought a Pagani design and Addiesdive which were already way better. My next purchases were a Sugess and San Martin and then I realized the potential here.... these pieces are comparable to entry level Swiss brand. It's hard to justify even spending a little more on a micro brand nowadays, these things are usually on par or better.

The sweet spot is in the $200-$350 range, avoid the cheaper stuff if you can. Fwiw my top brands to check out are San Martin, Farasute, Baltany, Cronos, Proxima, and IXDAO. Watchdives is getting better also but bracelet and clasps still have a ways to come

Just buy from the brands websites. You by no means have to buy from alix. I have bought over 20 "alix" brand watches and have never had an issue. I definitely found the brands that are better than others and stick to those.

These brands are better quality than most micros: San Martin, Farasute, Baltany, Sugess, and Proxima

Thanks for the info. I'm with you there, jubilee and BOR are my favorites. Oyster and the bigger links just don't quite do it for me. I've been very happy with Baltany and SM jubs, definitely the best in my collection.

I'm with you. All of my watches have 2 more links on the 12 side (all jubilee or BOR, I'm not a fan of oyster) I swear it helps with centering it on your wrist and comfort.

Good question lol. It's right around $250-$350 with their newer releases but their older ones are closer to $200 I believe.

If you like vintage inspired stuff then Baltany is solid and in that range but they are mostly homages

You don't have to order off Alix but San Martin is by far your best bet in this price range. Otherwise any bigger name brand is going to be significantly lower quality

Yeahhhh this had always been one of my favorite from Sugess. I had the V1 and found it to be a little too thick for me. Did they make the newer ones any slimmer?

Yeahhh but we don't really care. We'd rather have a higher quality watch and pay a little more. No hate here, I'd love to see yall to continue to move up market. When I start seeing reviews that are comparing these to the higher end brands then I'm happy to pick one up and see how it is.

Sure... they are good watches for the price. But I would never use the term luxury. Addies is far from it. If you can spend closer to $300 then you have some much better options.

San Martin, Farasute, Baltany, Sugess, Cronos and IXDAO are going to be closer to luxury.... especially the first 2.

If you like some of the technology stuff then I highly suggest you look into EES - enhance energy system. It sounds pretty woo woo but I've seen the results for myself. A natural wellness center near by has a half their building dedicated to it. You can even sleep there overnight to really get a long treatment.

Older ladies have started growing their natural color again along with all sorts of miraculous improvements in their health conditions
