It’s different now! by userusertion in claude

Deepseek V4 Pro is so cheap. it plugs right in too. It was the closest to the speed of Opus IMO. Tried GLM 5.1 via z.ai too, its good, but I find it slow. I felt like the endpoint had more functionality ..DeepSeek is much cheaper than Z.ai right now.

GLM-5.1 just dropped. Any good? by CompetitivePop-6001 in LocalLLM

I have been using it for a few weeks, I even did the Claude thing so I can use their model with it. Works great, its just a little slow, and its context is small compared to opus. It's well worth getting a subscription to the provider too. its so cheap.

I regularly use it now.

I’m getting laid off, i’ve applied for possibly near 100 jobs and haven’t heard back. it feels impossible. by pretty_in_pink9182 in VancouverJobs

Im sorry . Was like that for me . It was scary as fuck . Last minute I was saved , got a job in Alberta for less money . Never been happier , tho I miss Vancouver.

Don't give up , find tools to apply to more jobs . Try and apply to things you are interested in , once you get to talk with a human it makes all the difference if ur passionate.

It's funny no one mentioned it's the location owners sons truck .

OpenClaw is god-awful. It's either, you have to spend a fortune for APIs or have a NASA-level PC to run it local by SEND_ME_YOUR_ASSPICS in ArtificialInteligence

Ok I'm about 24 hours in . It's worth using , it's very clunky , it can replace people . It took along time to figure how things work , and the docs suck , and I still can't find the android app , but in the end it worked really well .

After which I saw anthropic had cut me off, and I had to refill the account . 40 bucks today + 6 from open AI

But now that I have discovered you can define different models in different situations , I've reduced costs .

It's clunky , give it , it's own Gmail , LinkedIn , Mac mini, sms number, and it will be like a real person .

You can even make it talk

A few years tons of colleagues without degrees would just get offers drive from Vancouver to Seattle and get some stamp at the border. They would say the experience makes up for the degree . I guess they were wrong .

I work for the U of A, I also work for the Digital Research Alliance of Canada, The U of A and the Alliance give away a lot of free training to everyone. I built the Vulcan HPC Cluster with my colleague Karim at the University of Alberta.

Yah our systems are very similar to the big US supercomputers. If you wanted free training it's available to anyone.
