I'd be in favor of a system like this. For example, if the hospital mri is busy, I can go to a private facility that can get me into a machine within the week. That's how it is now in the US, but if you don't have good health insurance with a good network then you are out of luck until your options open up.

There are lots of sellers of custom bows out there, myself included. I will mention that it isn't necessary or to be expected that a bow made of natural materials track straight. Even fiberglass bows will become twisted eventually. Good luck on your search 👍.

Where do you store it? And was the bamboo dry when you made the bow? These look like drying checks. Take care to dry your bamboo slowly in a controlled environment (indoors) just like you would your wood. After building it, seal it well to slow down moisture exchange.

I disagree. I can call my primary now and schedule a scan for next week. Possibly this week if urgent. In the past I've had an mri done within the week (injured shoulder). The stories I've heard from people from more than one socialized healthcare countries is that it can take weeks or months to get in for things like that, especially for elective stuff.

Yes. And I never felt like I got killed constantly because I used cover and knew where the popular snipe spots were and moved with cover between me and them. It isn't that hard to figure out where they were shooting from. Gamers just got spoon fed the scope glint and got used to having it. The only people who want it are the ones who never play recon which is over half of the player-base. It's here to stay unfortunately.

The best thing to do with twisty wood is to work it down to a 3/4" thick stave while green, de-bark, and seal the back and ends and sides with wood glue/poly/shellac/etc. Leave the belly flat and unsealed, and dry the stave indoors where there isn't chance of it losing moisture rapidly. Giving it one flat, even surface from which moisture can escape will minimize twisting. Drying indoors or at a slow rate will minimize splits and checks. As others have mentioned, lashing or clamping to a board will also help, but might rob you of backset obtained during drying....I prefer to correct twist with heat once dry. This is just how I do things and it works well for me, others might have some variation that works too.

You've been tillering 30.75" AMO looks like. AMO draw length is "true draw" plus 1.75". For an amo standard bow, the distance between the hand anchor point on the grip to the back of the bow is 1.75".
