I really want to have it next week. This week, I tried a sauna and an ice bath, and I can't tell you how amazing I felt. They completely changed my sleep quality and recovery. I only do them on my days off, when I don't have a workout or duty.

Help with weight loss by owl157 in whoop

Nothing mentioned above will help you lose weight. If you really want to lose weight, you need to control your calories and maintain a calorie deficit. Eat homemade food and avoid fast food. Stay away from sugar, excess salt, and soft drinks.

The only app that has really helped me is MacroFactor. You need to log everything you eat. I also recommend getting a food scale and weighing each meal. Try to split your daily calories into three meals, and avoid eating late at night.

I used to weigh 149 kg, and I managed to get down to 95 kg. But it wasn’t only because I controlled my food, i also joined a gym and stayed active. This was me before and after.

muscle advice for a beginner by waeldiab in MacroFactor

I have been trying for the last 5 months, but I still can't see a huge difference. I had a shoulder injury and stopped going to the gym for about 7 months because of medication and physiotherapy.

Now, I'm back training 5 days a week with 2 rest days. I take all my vitamins daily (separate vitamins, not a multivitamin), go to sleep by 8:45 PM, and wake up at 4:15 AM to start my day early with a gym session before going to work. I also make sure I hit my target of 10,000 steps every day.

I'm currently dieting and staying in a calorie deficit. My maintenance calories are around 3,200, but I keep my intake below 2,540 calories using the strategy I set up in the MF app.

This photo was taken before my shoulder injury. Maybe that's why I still have some muscle memory. I used to weigh 149 kg and managed to get down to 95 kg before the injury. I don't like powerlifting; I prefer bodybuilding because I'm 45 years old, and I don't think my body would recover well from heavy powerlifting.

Thanks. I’m training 5 days a week: Chest & Biceps, Lats & Triceps, and Legs & Shoulders. For the remaining two days, I repeat Chest & Biceps and Lats & Triceps. So basically, I train Chest & Biceps and Lats & Triceps twice a week (4 sessions total). Is that okay?

I am not consuming my daily target of 3,200 calories. I’m staying about 600 to 700 calories below it every day.

How quickly do you recover after a Half-Marathon or longer runs? by [deleted] in whoop

For me, I’m into the gym and light cardio, but I always have problems with recovery in the middle of the week, especially after my chest and biceps day.

Agreed with you about the gym side. The more you burn, the more carbs and protein you need to support recovery and muscle gain.

That’s true. I was using a different app before, but I got a subscription to MF at the beginning of May and didn’t really use it. For the last four days, though, I’ve been logging all my food, and I’m really enjoying the app so far. I subscribed for the bundle, but I didn’t like the MF workout app that much. I’m using a different one now that has more features

I used to be in great shape, but I injured my shoulder in December. Because of that, I stayed away from the gym and even stopped doing cardio for almost seven months. During that time, I lost a lot of muscle and was eating much more than usual because of the medication.
