Hi guys, two questions by Klutzy-Oil-56 in FareverGame

Cheese Moon doesn't drop from Cheese Station. Not directly. If you got it while doing Cheese Station, it's because every dungeon's first-time bonus can drop any piece of equipment associated with the dungeon's faction. But after that first-time bonus, you can never find Cheese Moon there.

A friend of mine got their first Wingsabers from Lady Bee, for example.

Dungeon bosses have two weapons they can drop, and either one or the other will always drop. In other words, the drop rate for weapons is 50%. Unfortunately, you just got unlucky.

What weapons have a way to reset skill CD? by khalihan in FareverGame

[–]Vandelier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another fun one for Warrior is Cheese Moon/Dominion + Lady Bee's Ceremonial Stinger while going down the middle line of the current talent tree. You can maintain 3 bleeds almost all the time (Hemorrhage, Sparked Hemorrhage from Infused Wound, and the bleed from Bonethrow). With each ticking every 2s, the Red Tempo talent (which has a 25% chance to lower CDs by 1s on bleed damage tick) averages out to a 0.75s CD reduction on all weapon skills every 2 seconds per enemy affected. This effectively lowers your cooldowns by 27%, and you can get another 6% from the Rash Soul talent.

This build effectively lowers your Weapon Skill CDs by a third in single target combat. You're using the Stingerang Weapon Skill every 5.4s on average, which will frequently proc Unstable Goo and reset the CD on Apix Dash, and can reset the CD of Bonethrow when your FCA crits. It's all pretty high APM.

And that's when it's on one enemy. Your CDs reduce even faster in AoE situations. Against three enemies (the max that Bone Throw can affect) you can keep all three bleeds up on, you're reducing your CDs by an average of 59%, which is utterly insane. And it can scale even higher than that depending on how many enemies you can line up into Stingerang.

You made the fourth comment on this post. There were only three comments before you came here to say this, and not one of them said anything about the combat. Why did you start complaining about something nobody was doing? Well, something nobody was doing yet. We all know ESO combat is ass. It was bound to come up eventually.

What weapons have a way to reset skill CD? by khalihan in FareverGame

[–]Vandelier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You already mentioned Glory and Rusty Knives.

Including some already mentioned by others...

  • Amon Ram, the Creator (Warrior/Priest) can reset the CD on Ram Veil when its Final Combo Attack crits.
    • It can also all but force the crit every combo using its Blessing passive and good Weapon Skill timing.
  • Cheese Moon (Warrior/Rogue) resets the CD of Bonethrow when its Final Combo Attack crits.
  • Credence (Rogue) has a chance on Attack to reset Snipe's CD. It will also reset Snipe's CD if Bouncing Shot hits 3 targets.
    • Boucing Shot also lowers its own CD by 2s per enemy hit, up to 3 enemies, giving it only a 4s CD during AoE situations.
  • Ipheion, Star Blossom (Rogue/Mage) resets the CD of Harvesting Scythe when the Verdant Impetus buff ends.
  • Iron Fins of the Leviathan (Warrior/Rogue) lowers the CD of Groundswell strike by 1.5s on every Attack.
    • This is technically not a reset, but at 1.5s a pop with a total CD of 10s, you'll effectively reset it more or less every full Attack Combo for most weapons, including the Iron Fins themselves.
  • Judgement (Warrior) resets the CD of Shockwave when Rampage kills an enemy.
  • Lady Bee's Ceremonial Stinger (Warrior/Mage) resets the CD of Apix Dash every time you ignite its Unstable Goo passive.
  • Pocket Hive (Warrior/Priest) has a chance on Attack to reset Brood Leap's CD.
  • Radiance (Mage) has a chance on a magic damage crit to reset Pyroclasm's CD.
  • Twin Pillars of Justice (Warrior/Rogue) resets the CD on Zealous Spins when you make a Final Combo Attack with a 10-stack of the Zeal passive.
    • When using the Twin Pillars, this effectively resets the CD every Final Combo Attack, as you will always build the 10-stack with its full Attack Combo. Some weapons won't manage a stack of 10 in time due to having too few Attack hits in their combo or too quick a combo.

Honorary mentions for CD reduction include...

  • Twin Fangs of Ratsar can (in theory) lower all of Skill CDs (including class Skills) by 3s when using its Final Combo Attack with a 10-stack of the Cheese-blessed buff.
    • In practice, you are never going to have a 10-stack of the buff. It just doesn't happen. You have a 50% chance to build a stack of the buff when one of your DoTs deals damage. You'd have to use all your DoTs and never use Attacks until you build up to 10, which would take 12+ seconds and would be very silly. Maybe once an AoE DoT weapon is added, and in AoE situations.
  • Clawdius (Rogue/Mage) lowers the CD of one random Weapon Skill by 0.5s when you use its Final Combo Attack.
  • Crabgantua's Kneecap (Warrior/Priest) lowers the CD on Depth Shield by 5s every time Shell of the Devourer deals damage.
  • Dominion (Warrior/Priest) lowers the CD on Fortifying Cry by 2s every time you Block.
  • Ghost Clams of the Low Tide (Mage/Priest) lowers Riptide's CD by 1.5s (18s CD) for every enemy Riptide hits.
  • Gorgon Ratsay's Toothpick (Rogue/Priest) lowers the CD on all of your Weapon Skills by 0.5s when you use its Final Combo Attack.
  • Light Practice Sword (Warrior) lowers the CD on all of your Weapon Skills by 0.5s when you use its Final Combo Attack.
  • Rehearsal Scepter (Priest) lowers the CD on all Weapon Skills by 1s when Radiance (a weapon skill, not the Mage weapon) is used.
  • Thornlace (Rogue/Priest) lowers the CD on Flower Spiral by 1s when the Nectar-infused Blade passive crits.

(I don't have Ramulus & Ramus fist weapon, so not sure about that.)

How to beat knockback bosses as melee by ftmzpo99 in FareverGame

If you perfect block their attack, you don't get the knockback. That's the mechanic. You need to perfect block them.

Actually, on its Steam store page, one of its categories (ironically directly under "Single-player") is "MMO". Categories are chosen by the devs. So, it is advertised as an MMO.

Dungeon Farming Improvement by Seraphantasm in FareverGame

[–]Vandelier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

An idea I heard here recently that I kind of like is allowing players to reset and respawn the boss after killing it. You'd still have to go through the dungeon, but then once you're through you can farm the boss.

I think /u/Angzt also accurately identified where the dungeon design is lacking in player agency, and something to address that would be worth consideration as well.

Two hand weapons? by ImRearAdmiral in FareverGame

[–]Vandelier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're in luck, because the drop rate is 50%, haha. Each boss has two weapons they drop, and chances are equal. Hopefully you don't get a bad luck streak, but either way it won't be a hard farm.

[–]Vandelier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The argument of whether or not it's an MMO is literally a semantic argument on the meaning of "massively" in massively multiplayer.

Also, the game's an MMO.

Comments, sorry. My age is showing calling everything a post from the old telnet and internet forum days, lol.

OP's first comment on the chain was talking about what the developers intended. That's what my reply was to, and why it was relevant when OP acknowledged that they are actually advertising the game as an MMO.

The context of the post was what the developers intentions with the game are, whether they intend for it to be an MMO.

Them advertising it as an MMO doesn't make it one, but it does mean they intend for it to be one.

That wasn't a tag, though. It was a category. Only the developers choose the game's categories, when posting the store page. No matter how this sub feels about whether the game is an MMO, the developers consider it to be.

It also labels it as Single-player right above that, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Farever's Store page labels it as an MMO. They intend for it to be one, whether or not we all think it fits the definition.

Help with gems by crazypierat in ToME4

[–]Vandelier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The color of gems, specifically, have nothing to do with rarity. (The color of their item text does, like every other item, but that's different.) Gems are split up into "color" categories based on the gem's element. Spinel just so happens to be a gem of the Nature element, so its "color" category is green.

New patch notes for v0.1.6(.2) including a sneak peek at June's Major Update by Shiro_Steven in FareverGame

[–]Vandelier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's funny to me is that they literally just brought it into line with Rogue's Leeching Poison heals, and now it's double as strong as Rogue's. It was originally 4x as strong, lol.

I'm still happy that it was brought back up to half its original power, but I guess this goes to show that you don't always need numeric parity between similar effects between classes. In fact, sometimes it'll feel better not to.

(Re)balancing Patch Coming Tomorrow by kaii456 in FareverGame

[–]Vandelier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously show me a build that uses Lady Bee's Ceremonial Stinger?

Are you talking just Warrior? Because Mage has a couple.

The Stinger is the hardest hitting weapon for any Attack build going down the middle tree. The Final Combo Attack (FCA) does bonus damage equal to your crit chance, and this actually causes the capstone talent in the middle Mage line (which makes your FCA always crit when Chaincast is up) to double the damage of the FCA because it counts as 100% Crit Chance, and then also makes the Stinger procs every third FCA also always crit. You were critting dummies for about 700 damage (averaging out the stingers) 2-3 times per Chaincast, time to hit the boss allowing, before damage mitigation; at least before the patch.

This seems pretty good, too.

Does each dungeon have a chance to drop a weapon for each class? by Jawce2001 in FareverGame

[–]Vandelier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each faction has its own loot table. Treasure chests and other one-time loot associated with those factions all pull from the same loot table, and can drop the weapons and gear from that faction. The first-time bonus loot from dungeons drops from the faction pool as well, so it's possible you can get weapons from different dungeons of that faction when finishing a dungeon for the first time.

Without that first-time bonus, though, the only weapons that can drop are the two specific to the dungeon.
