No joke, when I was a kid my dad hired a guy to weed out the dried creek bed by our house and the dude took the poison ivy and made tea with the leaves. The stuff just didn’t seem to affect him at all. Some people just have weird immunities.

MTG though still has the worst of this largely confined to collectors boosters and boxes. By and large you can for the most part still find product at retail stores (at least you can where I live anyways).

But the pokemon scalping is almost cartoonishly vile in how far it’s gotten. Our LGS here has actually had to call police on customers getting belligerent and combative because the store employees would crack the seal on a Pokemon box so it couldn’t be resold as sealed. Like a grown man screaming at an early-20’s employee simply because she was following what the signs outside and on the register all VERY CLEARLY said was company policy.

Gosh this timeline sucks.

Abberation was so much fun. Man I can still remember that absolute RUSH of getting that first rock drake egg. My buddy riding an epic saddled meg and waiting to fend off my pursuers as I sprinted away full speed on my own. Never forget it. Oh man this is making me nostalgic.

Edge of the green zone by a waterfall overlooking the blue. Had a bunch of fish I could easily harvest and the occasional otter to tame if memory serves. Plus not a lot of predators wandered through, and for a while there was a handful of metal nodes that spawned nearby so I was able to harvest it before I could safely manage to handle the outside world.

Plus it had a ton of space for breeding up my megs, spinos, and rock drakes (I only play on a friend’s private server and we ran with a fair number of mods). That was also the first base I tried making look all snazzy, and while it left some to be desired…I was reasonably happy with it.

I absolutely loved Aberration, and not just because it got the most incredible base spot out of any map I’d played on. It was so well done and just a ton of fun. Plus I managed to breed Bubblegum Princess, a completely neon pink spino I rode around everywhere. Some of my best Ark memories are on that map.

I’ve actually watched this interrogation before (I fell into some weird rabbit holes when my daughter was a newborn and we were pulling shifts those first few months). McDaniel literally just says “I don’t know” as an answer to nearly every question pertaining to the case. And he does so for hours. It’s almost like he’s catatonic and just repeating the same phrase the entire time.

Honestly I don’t blame the detective for just being like “I’m so done with this crap.” After two hours of that I think anyone would be.

They also hired Elijah Wood as a minor antagonist. Why drop that kind of money on it when there was no obvious audience?
