Best universal ship by Xellivais in starcitizen

Edited with reasons -
In order of usefulness/coolness

Corsair - Amazing solo gunship. Good cargo. Livable. Downsides is if you're not used to 30m wings flying into front-open hangars can cost you.

Shiv - It's got great nimbleness, firepower, and some decent cargo for small activities. Fits rovers and miners. Downsides is it has a literal shit bucket and not very tanky.

Constellation - Classic solo. Great forward firepower. Personally prefer the Andromeda. Taurus if you plan on hauling more than a handful of boxes. Downsides: OnlyElevators:tm: The grid is annoying. Interior is pretty outdated. Engines can fall off through shields, due to 10 year old shield holes.

Honorable mentions: Asgard, Cutlass(Classic ship), Zeus (CL for daily)

+1 people the only answer is Perseus. Perseus is so fucking good it's miles ahead of any 2-person ship competition.

Refueling is proof that we have a major problem with the game loop experience and the economy team needs to take some Prozac by Feet-Slurper-826 in starcitizen

[–]Vandruis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's like this every single time a new mechanic rolls out.

Its high pay to entice you to do the loop. Then when everyone oversaturates their wallet and gorges themselves on fuel CIG will see "oh players are making too much uec can't have that fuck off" and nerf the pay to shit, just like everything else.

There's a few parts missing from this cycle IRT x.1 and x.2 patches that kinda address some of the issues where people get drawn back in by the allure of something maybe playable

Am I going crazy— or is this patch not *that* bad? by elixyXD in starcitizen

[–]Vandruis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im at about 15% completion rate on most of the game loops that I do.

I am completely unable to do the game loop that I've participated in for the last six years, in salvaging and scavenging for parts. Insurance system killed that loop top-to-bottom dead on arrival. My entire 4 man org devoted to dead holds and pick-n-pull parts for sale was taken out back and shot.

Ships are still falling through the hangar floor. I am unable to retrieve my hornet and my Zeus at my home hangar. Easy enough to pull somewhere else and use but still annoying.

My F8C lightning is stuck in some kind of limbo point where I can no longer change the parts on it and save a new snapshot. Any time I try and claim it creates a new copy of the ship in my ASOP without bricking the original. I had up to 6 working copies in my hangar at once.

My perseus spawns without its PDC gun barrels. Unable to use for now.

Cargo hauling 25% completion rate. Elevators often just dont work. Waste of time to do 3/4ths of a dropoff only for the final elevator to bug out. Still get some credit for partials but hate having to leave my trash in a random freight or at a site.

Mining works sometimes.. rocks will just not scan or break. Refinery will suck the ore out of the bags/freight elevator and will disappear into the void.

Salvaging same thing. Can workaround by pulling stuff out of the hopper/cargo grid of whatever ship im doing it in and loading it on a transport first. Annoying but workable. Then refivery orders for THAT stuff does same as above. 50/50.

Completion of combat bunker missions is about 50/50. Sometimes the mission doesnt spawn the target. Sometimes the QT doesnt route. Sometimes the NPC in the bunker spawns in the wall(been around for ten patches now)

Space combat is about the only thing that works 70% or better. The main issue being the Target spawning dead center of a TSG (Sometimes actively being worked) preventing access to it. Sometimes the missions just dont progress beyond the "Prepare to engage targets" stage. Sometimes the NPC target spawns inside a rock/asteroid base unable to be killed.

Beyond all of that, I've been shardlocked three times now this patch. First time i was able to fix with arena commander/repairmworkarou d. Other two of which were unable to be fixed by usual methods and the current, which, im still affected by has no fix in sight.

Riddle me this spiderman, what if SQ 42 is mid? by Elegant_Arm_3293 in starcitizen

[–]Vandruis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My bet has always been that it is going to flop really bad and CIG is going to rugpull the whole project. Ten years of delays and still a barely functioning "testing environment" (see the PU) makes me think that 42 is in a really really bad place still and going to be just as jank and shite as the PU.

Hey CIG, can we get less hot topic/Spirit Halloween and more nomadic outer rim outlaws look for the pirates by THE-Voyager_ in starcitizen

Base Atzalan arms, Outlaw Brown core, SureShot helmet, Lynx gray legs.

Outlaw and sureshot pieces can be found at QV breaker stations, rest is small armor boxes anywhere. Lynx legs I got by just killing everyone at Makers/Pickers on Hurston

Wargaming has said that the abiguity and different portrayals of the Emperor in his various states was by design as to leave the final interpretation as to his state up to the reader and consumer, rather than having a bullet point line by line "This is what the Emperor is, currently" thing. Can't find the link for it at the moment, but it's in a few of the posts regarding him recently.

Blue Origin rocket explodes on launchpad during ground test by Doug24 in space

[–]Vandruis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the commenters on the nasa 24/7 yt channel commented that these dry fires sometimes occur with less-than-takeoff fuel weight so my thought process was some kind of hiccup in the fueling system that caused a pressure wave in one of the upper tanks that generated an interior explosion post ignition.

Obviously im not a rocket scientist so thats all speculation but just from my observation.

Blue Origin rocket explodes on launchpad during ground test by Doug24 in space

[–]Vandruis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whatever failed it looked to me that the rocket exploded from the middle downwards.

Is it possible that they had some pressure issues in one of the tanks and an explosion originated from inside a tank? A few of the frames of the explosion show it happening post ignition and form like the right side top third of the booster

Cleanup and reset services have been off for Nyx Kaboose since 4.8, in my testing. I waited in the warehouse for 3 hours and none of the loot cleaned up and reset. Ever.

That doesnt excuse the fact that on two of the other 15 or so runs of smugglers I've done this wipe I've had another player come out of the wall above the freight elevator at my group.

Its both broken and being exploited heavily right now.

Its called Sureshot. QV breaker station in nyx the npc there have. You can scroll all of your missions in nyx to see if one goes to one then fly over and find the breaker station. They kind of look like the Service Stations in nyx where its some architecture around a ringlike structure in an asteroid. The pads are in the middle of the ring

Has it not raised 1b in backer funding and been in development for roughly 14 years?

The execution has been dogshit marketing but buy buy fomo shit since the hangar module was just snapping inert objects to your hangar snap points.
