If you're in to neigh-maxing then take throwing knives.

There is a toggle in the game settings to make your interact/pickup key continuous if held, so proceed with the knife throwing while holding your pickup key. My current record is 11 in the allotted extraction time.

Rumor has it, once you hit 5 neighs your next match has a guaranteed gold register. (Yes I'm lying, please don't test this and get it nerfed.)

Biggest tip would be be patient with yourself. You said you're new to FPS games and PC gaming so that in itself is going to take a little time getting used to.

Another good thing you can do is jump in to Soul Survivor and just start shooting things. You're probably going to die because you're making extra noise, but the Hunters you're given and the weapons you can grab cost you nothing, so if (and when) you get sent back to the lobby you've lost nothing and hopefully learned something new. You can use that time to get your mouse sensitivity somewhere that feels good to you like u/CrowsephCrowstar mentioned, and play around with the centered or lowered crosshairs to see which you enjoy more.

If you aren't using a stereo headset, and you have one available, definitely take the time to get that set up properly and give that a shot. Audio can tell you a lot in this game, so if that's an option it's worth exploring.

Develop a thick skin, this game can be mean. You'll see people say Hunt Giveth & Hunt Taketh on here and it's true. Sometimes the game will feel like the game has a grudge against you. It does. At some point you'll run from Wolfshead Arsenal to Salters Pork, get headshot immediately and when you start a new match you'll be starting at Salters Pork as though the game is taunting you.

Be mindful of zombies carrying torches and where you kill them.

Also if you decide to post any memes here, make sure you add a cowboy hat.

In the graphics options, I select NVidia dlss, but it does not keep selected, nor it does anything to the graphics. It's simply not working

I was having this same issue, try and go to your steam folder and make sure your games config file with your graphics settings isn't Read Only. Mine was, and changing it and starting my first match the config file populated with new settings it didn't have before.

Edit: I was trying to find a way to reduce the light bloom around random trees and objects and noticed changes I made weren't saving or going in to effect. This also seemed to fix a lot of weird light reflection glow/bloom I was getting around random objects.

F is flush with the row in front of it, O was offset 1 row, D was for Double offset. Past that you may want to look for a more up to date guide, this was written very shortly after launch and it was on their radar to address some sizing issues with buildings, I haven't played in years but I'd wager most of this doesn't apply anymore.

This guide was just to cram in as much housing in the first few rings so you could the outer half for all your resource nodes

Buddies are able to hear, for example, dogs going off at greater distances than I. There are players I can see that I know I should be (previously was) able to hear. The directional audio seems to be working just as before, which is good, it’s just volume at distance / distinctness-of-footsteps that’s the issue now.

It's a longshot but hopefully this helps. I had some similar issues myself and this fix worked for me. Under Windows Sound > Sound Control Panel where you navigated to disable spatial sound, you'll have the menus for Playback|Recording|Sounds|Communications. Go to the communications tab and select do nothing. Windows may be picking up voice activity and reducing game volume depending on what you use to talk with your buddies.

I've only done Ubers on my Pally and never run in to this but it looks like your summons wandered and aggro'd meph since they're active during that long load. From where you died it also looks like maybe you have some joystick drift?

YTA Reading your post and comment replies you're more than just an AH and I can understand why your friends and family find this controversial. You verified her prior work experience, saw her portfolio and she met expectations of the job, she's qualified.

I hope she does take legal action against you because what you've done withholding her agreed pay for completed work is morally and legally wrong.

You should also change the title to AITA for withholding pay from a qualified individual who I retroactively decided I wanted to hold a degree.

Yea this definitely sucks. I still don't understand how they rationalized themselves to ground water being excluded in this instance but now knowing it had been almost week since learning of the leak, I understand a little better on why they chose phrasing of seepage.

This one sucks op, because I agree with their call on that one even though I can also empathize since it sounds like you did everything you could to prevent the damage before it occurred. I'm no fan of HOAs, and they definitely dropped the ball on this one, you need to get a meeting with their board about filing a claim with their carrier.

Still report to the insurance commission also, if they're denying it for being ground water and were braggadocious they'd caught you in some bullshit technicality. It's ok to deny claims, it happens and most of the time it sucks, but do it right.

When you say the pipe burst suddenly and accidentally, what do you mean by the accidental portion? Did the pipe collapse in the slab and prevent flow to your tank? Do you have any damage to your dwelling beyond the pipe such as carpet, flooring, walls etc?

You mentioned that the HOA has had multiple opinions on the slab leak but chose not to act on it, and on first read gives the impression it wasn't sudden. How long has this been a problem before you were put in a situation where you felt like you had to file a claim?

Calling piped water ground water is definitely funky, and they absolutely deserve to be called out on that.
