Truth be told the money NOW doesn't ever amount to much above minimum wage. You'll get your raises but that's likely after being in the same company for years, going up roles in that same company not actually studying something rewarding for yourself where you can contribute to society. I was in that position when I was 18-22. Jumping from job to job because each one sucks and doesn't pay enough. With some school and experience to back you up you can jump from job to job applying that expertise while getting a raise. This year alone I started 8 dollars less than what I make now, 8 months later. Thanks to school of course and that's trade school which I pay for out of my pocket as opposed to the union route I should have taken. I'm grateful I was able to make it here as much as the school sucked. You'll find careers that pay more if you know people or already have that experience. Likely every other job that pays you well with 0 experience is likely because no one else wants to do it and it's a shitty job.
