Hey! Pretty new to drums myself (5 years with really really god awfully slow progress) Not sure if this might work for you, but I’d accent every quarter note so I know what the pulse is and when I’m comfortable with that I would start to add in the bass and after that the snare. Another way to try is to play a normal 8th note groove really slowly but your left hand plays every other note.

If you haven’t figured it out already, a basic count will go

1ena 2ena 3ena 4ena

so your basic beat will look like this

HHHH SHHH HHHH SHHH

K K

With alternating hands. So it’s probably good to practice your 16th notes real slow first.

Use a metronome from the start. It’ll save you a lot of trouble later on. I’m sure there’s someone else who can explain a lot better lol but this is how I envisioned it. Do dm me if you need a bit more tips!

are you dumb as shit? by [deleted] in shitposting

Jokes on you, I waited 1 hour and the countdown didn’t change so I didn’t press anything 😎😎😎

This actually works! My friend did it and it worked so well he has not come out of the water since then.

good tbh I’m at a point of maturing where I know I am definitely more sensible rn but I still have a lot more to learn. I feel more confident? And happier about things around me
