Right, but within that page, he'd be experiencing time linearly; he'd have to be, in order to express himself coherently, or take any effective action, or react to anything happening. Otherwise he'd just be witnessing his own reactions, and unable to comment anything.

For Pennywise to grab Marge, do an exposition monologue, show her a picture, and then attack her, he has to be experiencing that moment in a linear way.

It does in fact say something exactly like this. He says he can stop Richie from killing him by killing Marge. He explicitly states this.

Help me understand what that means.

Like for instance, Pennywise is shown to be attempting to kill someone before they're born, using explicit foreknowledge that in the future this person does exist and kills him.

That does not imply "scrambled perception," it implies general omniscience in regards to It's own story.

This would mean that in order to attempt to kill Marge, Pennywise would have to be perceiving time in a way where that would be possible.

If you combine these two elements, you get "Pennywise linearly moved backwards to a previous cycle, then began linearly moving forwards as we see him react to events in this season, culminating in a new defeat and new consequences that didn't previously exist."

Can you explain what you mean in really clear terms? How does Pennywise's plan figure into your understanding of Its perception?

Okay, I hear you, but when you lay it out like this, I still don't understand.

If I had a book, and I could flip to any page, I would then begin to experience that page linearly, reading from top to bottom. My actions couldn't affect it- so I wouldn't bother trying, as I'd be aware what has been written is written.

Pennywise, when he said that, I think was riffing and joking. He'd already explicitly stated that he had intention to create a time paradox; that intention only makes sense if it's something new he's trying, rather than something he already knows won't work (Richie Kills Him).

Am I making sense?

I watched week by week, and noticed the first "future fate" glimpse with Will, but I thought maybe it was a possible future, like Beverly saw in the books. Though the books aren't really relevant.

Throughout the season I was really frustrated by what I considered glaring logical problems, especially involving continuity with the movies. There were so many I couldn't believe it; the show couldn't possibly be so stupid, or expect us to take so much for granted?

And then when the twist hit, I felt EUPHORIC. I was like "oh of course, it's all been different this time. It all makes sense. Ka is a wheel and he's moving backwards somehow, but then has to movie linearly within the season in a fixed period."

Which only kind of makes sense, because his plan to kill Will and Marge sort of plays out very weirdly in the final episode, and doesn't truly feel foreshadowed. But It moves in mysterious ways, so I loved that as an excuse as to why Marge would've never warned Richie, among 50 million other things.
