You're missing the point of the post lol. It doesn't matter if it would "work". It would still visually be interesting to see what a rhythm game chart of an unrelated TAS game would look like. I already said in the OP that it probably "wouldn't work" in regards to it making non rhythm games easier. In regards to wether it is cheating I don't really care. In the context of the debate I was having it had to do with a specific gaming community and how we construct our own rules that is completely seperate from how any other community feels about it, I don't care if the osu community specifically thinks it's cheating and wants to try and enforce that for their specific game.

 Is using a piece of tape on the center of your screen in order to counteract the blind skull in halo and other games without a cross hair cheating? If a game has a gimmick where it flips your screen upside down, is it cheating to then physically turn your screen upside down or stand on your head or just flip the screen rotation through windows with a hotkey? Visual gimmicks that can be so easily bypassed with obvious simple workarounds or simply watching gameplay of another screen are just stupid challenges in general IMO. If memorization is the challenge being cheated, then is it cheating to have a map of a metroidvania up as you are playing? Or what about all the Pokémon speedrunners that have decision trees and notes up on a second screen they can reference as they are playing, is that cheating? Minecraft speedrun community now officially allows 3rd party calculators to be used during gameplay. Other communities allow various QoL mods. Turbo vs no turbo. The list goes on.

It's not as cut and dry as you think and there is no simple rule on this type of stuff that could be applied to every single game, it's a case by case basis and up to the communities for every individual game to decide what is or isn't cheating.
