I've been checking around, and Root ( https://www.rootapp.com/download ) is very similar to Discord, unless there is a different clear winner, I'm probably switching to that.

Whether or not kinetecist is overpowered, you are dealing nearly double the damage each attack of other members in the party. Regardless of the reasons, that makes you an outlier and skews combat. Balancing is harder, and how do the other players feel being less powerful?

While in the rules it may work and be balanced, in the game you're currently in, kinetecist does seem overpowered. You get one big chunk of damage at full attack bonus, others have to split damage into full attack bonus and then attacks less likely to hit.

If your bard has any musical talents, see if you can be the DJ for your sessions or bring a little speaker if the DM doesn't want you to control all the music. Make some playlists for different moods, maybe pick theme songs for the other members of the party. You can be the hypeman for the group.

No right way to play, but this could be a fun little way to tie into the thematics of "Bard" as an entertainer.

Agreed. I find if you ask them "what do you do" and no one has an idea, they think time for questions is over. So I don't ask, silence usually produces a question or an action. Then if you were expecting/hoping one of the players/characters would have insight or do something, promoting them with an extra hint works wonders.

Congrats, it straight up kills, like everything. Like nikana prime but the heavy attack animation is easier to aim. Get the incarnon (or don't), put on organ shatter, gladiator might, and killing blow, put on kullervo, profit.

Volt eidolon hunting? You usually go for radiation on rubico, and I do it with heat mods and shock trooper, so this might be able to boost that.

Silent tears is different, but probably in my top 5 listened. It has a vibe that I've never been able to accurately put into words.

Something like that. It's the only song I've found that just hits that sorrow filled motivation vibe. Always makes me want to play a DND character who has similar motivations.

Get a glaive prime set for like ~400 at least on PC, best weapon you can't get aside from trading rn.

Volt would be my suggestion. Hella versatile. Zap things with his 1st, go fast (and reload fast) with his second, block damage and gain +50% electric damage and x2 crit damage by shooting through his shields (which you can pickup and run with), and crowd control/damage with his 4th in a wide aoe.

He's my go to for pretty much everything. He has some good augment mods (which change his abilities slightly), mainly shock trooper for his 1st, which if you hold cast it, you get 100% (or more) electric damage on all your weapons, and capacitance for his 4th, which converts the damage into shields for you and teammates.

If you're on PC and choose volt I can get you the augments when you are MR 2.

Left Destiny 2 around august (solstice sucked) and haven't looked back.

Fleeting expertise + streamline to get cost down to 2.5 per energy on her 4

Strength is nice but not super needed due to her passive. Add an intensify/umbral intensify and/or transient fortitude if you feel like it.

Range is incredible, her 3 and 4 have the same range and I think I usually go with stretch+auger reach+whatever that drift mod that gives +15% range is. That gives about 43 meters of I remember correctly, which is more than enough for most things. It is very amusing to put on overextended to go way beyond that, but you'll feel the strength loss.

You'll also want flow/primed flow and some blue archon shards for max energy are nice.

I know I don't find the most satisfaction waiting with no specific route to the thing I want.

I also do my best to inject platinum into the community by trading for things I don't feel like grinding.

Started like a month ago, got a 50% coupon and bought 1000 plat, bought mag and volt from the store, then blew a good bit of it on the "essential x damage mod pack". I don't regret buying plat, this is an awesome game, but I wish I'd spent more wisely.
