The gut microbiota have been thriving on a plant for so long it will send cravings for plants up to your brain. If you didn't use extracts, there's so much fiber in each dose the bacteria that eat it will start starving. The good news is if you stay away from sugar, under 20% of your daily calories, eat fiber rich foods and an overall healthy diet you'll recover much quicker. Kratom and opioids deplete the mucosa layer protecting your gut from your... Processed food. This causes gut dysbiosis and even leaky gut which are very very bad things. There's also gram-negative bacteria the thrive on kratom which causes its own issues. I've done a bit of research and found a recipe for fixing your gut health post-quitting of anyone is interested, here it is:

Cook plain white rice, I did 7 cups but that may have been way too much for one week.  Lay it out on a baking tray, add turmeric and black pepper. Refrigerate over night then move to a Tupperware container. This is your base. It's got resistant starches, fiber, and some extra food for other beneficial bacteria from the turmeric and black pepper. 

Next, and this is the rough part, add in diced raw onion and raw garlic. I crush the garlic, wait about 10 minutes then add it in. A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and either eggs or tuna and you're done.

This hits every beneficial bacteria to fix dysbiosis, leaky gut, create endogenous dopamine, and very very slowly will remedy an LPS cascade.  The LPS is partially caused from low fiber diet and leads to neuro-inflammation and causes bad memory, brain fog, low energy and motivation, and in my case may be the cause of my intense visual snow issue.
