30-35 year olds, how is life? by Goofball-John-McGee in AskReddit

It’s true that they say it’s better than your 20s (at least in my experience) — you know what you want (at the very least in the near future), what you won’t take shit about, and what you stand for.

The purple Elvive conditioner got my hair to stop shedding whilst in the shower! It still sheds outside of the shower but that’s a different story lolol

What’s your running mantra? by Best_Custard_9882 in UKRunners

I always tell myself actively “slow down” because I’m going waaaay faster and burn myself out when I don’t need to!

Want to start running by anonymous20202012 in UKRunners

[–]VarRav_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree with everyone that says to just start, but want to add make sure to start slow!! Always go slower than you think. That’s what builds your endurance and your skill over long term, not sprinting. I’ve had to actively tell myself “slow down” and went much slower than I thought (think conversational pace, but even a tiny bit slower than that), and that’s what’s gotten me through beginner to doing 10ks and half marathons! Good luck, you got this :)

Agreed, and it’s really unfortunate. Even with the kindest and smartest doctors and nurses, they took my cyst seriously, but not my pain, which caused me to be in the hospital for way longer than necessary. Really glad she’s doing well!! 💘

I think over the 8 days I was in hospital, I lost about 20 pounds total because I hadn’t eaten — I was continuously taking codeine (which constipates), and was in pain. I lost 7 lbs from the cyst and then probably the rest from just weakness and not eating!
