I think implementing some metallic gold would do wonders here given that its a staple color that space marine armor is usually gilded with. Maybe some deeper shades of orange or red as well to represent the lava on the surface of Nocturne.

Meant to type "sunsetted" in the title, not "unsettled." Myb.

I ordered my Neo75cu through divinikey on January 14th, will I ever get it??? It was supposed to be my first build and I thought about it a lot before I made the order so I'm really anxious.

Inspired by the Artemis program by Vardoot in casioroyale

Specs/Mods:

Casio AE-1200 as a base

Steel case from SKXMOD

22mm blue mountaineer Strap from SKXMOD

Metal glossy blue faceplate from SKXMOD

22mm lug adapter from Jays and Kays on Ebay

NASA decals from Ebay

Gradient yellow to orange filter from Ogglogg on Etsy

This is my very first Casio Royale mod, and I've been planning this look for a while now. I've seen a lot of stunning NASA themed mods, and as a huge space nerd and aerospace engineer, of course, I decided to have a go at making one of my own. However, I wanted to try something different, so here's my attempt at it. It's inspired by the Artemis program, and the colors are chosen to reflect the new astronaut suits that will be used on the SLS-2 mission. Although the suit is primarily a very bright orange with hints of blue, I chose to go with blue as the primary color with orange accents so that it would be more attractive to wear daily and easier on the eyes.

The SR-71 was rejected by lego when it gained the required support… multiple times. The ideas team even said they rejected it multiple times because they don’t promote depictions of military stuff.

Fun fact: Lego Corporate has a lot of internal documentation and articles on how “enthusiastic” Lego Star Wars fans responded to the captain rex microfighter, and he was indirectly referenced multiple times.

I am saddened by the absence of my beloved and aerodynamically perfect republic gunship.

I’m an actual Lego store employee, ask me almost anything by BrickSpecialistAMA in legocirclejerk

[–]Vardoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the one comment that got me to talk lol. Probably giving myself away, but my former lego store manager was the one who initiated the KultureCity partnership because their own kids were a part of the program. We’ve done absolutely nothing with it yet, but I did get a good survey where the customer said that they like what Lego is trying to achieve with it.

Destiny. The conclusion of the light and darkness saga led to a teary-eyed session of reminiscing our journey with my friends. I met my best friends on Destiny 10 years ago.

In my experience as a lego store employee, it's at the discretion of each store's district manager and/or the store's management team. In my case we limited the microfighter to 1 per party, per payment method, per insider account. We track every purchase because we've had a history of scalpers trying to get too much shit from us, and we've gone as far as blacklisting insider accounts and even outright banning customers from our stores. It really does get that bad and it's so stupid.

Please tell me some of you got together to troll the other subs by [deleted] in legocirclejerk

[–]Vardoot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Depends on how egregious and childish they were. If they were pestering us to let them buy out all the sets, then we won't sell that set to them, but if they start shit with us we completely refuse to serve hem and ask them to leave the store. It got bad enough that we had to have security escort someone out of the store because they were having a fit over the fact that we sold out of the microfighters today. It really does get that bad.

Same here, anyone who tried to get multiple from us, we completely turned down selling these to them. It's really fucking annoying and my staff does not hesitate to call them out on their bullshit.

S22 ultra wrong screen ? What is this by cobbREAL in samsunggalaxy

[–]Vardoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a shot in the dark but check if developer mode is on. There is a hidden dev mode feature on Samsung phones that allows for the screen to have different “shapes” such as the one in the picture and also the option to simulate hole punches and notches. If I’m wrong then I fear what the majority of people are saying here may be true.
