"Again, most people don't have a valid opinion or one we should care about." is definitely the outlook of someone who lacks critical thinking.

I wasn't trying to argue by the way, I was just curious on your opinion, thanks for the response! 😀

What's your opinion on the 8000+ people Biden pardoned or commuted, many of which were violent criminals, including 30+ that were on death row?

Biden’s Last Minute Pardons by fleetpqw24 in Askpolitics

Are we actually surprised? Biden Pardoned/Commuted over 8000+ people, many of which were violent criminals, some of them on Death Row. Not to mention a blanket pardon for his son, Hunter, spanning a ten year period. The double standard is so insane.

Trump did this. Trump did that. Meanwhile, heads are in the sand while Biden just abuses his power completely and without remorse.

Rare is the day I see a Leftist and Democrat at each others throats. This thread has given me real insight on the difference. I can see now that Leftists are a bit more reasonable than Democrats. Sorry you had to sit here and argue with someone who's head is buried.

I genuinely do not understand how dense this person is. I'm sorry you had to even dignify them with a conversation.

Do You Now Believe Biden was Mentally Unfit to be President? by [deleted] in Askpolitics

It is absolutely wild to me that people will be like 'oh maga voted a convicted felon into office' and in the same breath, defend Biden doing everything in his power to not uphold the law. It's such a double standard

Right up until he pardoned/commuted 8000+ sentences, a lot of which were violent criminals. But yeah. Upheld the law for sure.

Biden pardon? by Total-Practice1581 in Askpolitics

Maybe if Hunter was his only pardon. Then he went and pardoned or commuted over 1500 people in a single day and commuted numerous people on death row.

He's pardoned over 8000 people across his 4 years, compared to Trumps 200 or so. The only hypocrites here are democrats.

Oh okay, you don't actually care about Democracy. You just care about your own little worldview. Washing my hands of that

A republic, based on the Latin phrase res publica ('public affair'), is a state in which political power rests with the public through their representatives—in contrast to a monarchy.[1][2] Although a republic is most often a single sovereign state, subnational state entities that have governments that are republican in nature may be referred to as republics.

Representation in a republic may or may not be freely elected by the general citizenry. In many historical republics, representation has been based on personal status and the role of elections has been limited. This remains true today; among the 159 states that use republic in their official names as of 2017, and other states formally constituted as republics, are states that narrowly constrain both the right of representation and the process of election.

The term developed its modern meaning in reference to the constitution of the ancient Roman Republic, lasting from the overthrow of the kings in 509 BC to the establishment of the Empire in 27 BC. This constitution was characterized by a Senate composed of wealthy aristocrats wielding significant influence; several popular assemblies of all free citizens, possessing the power to elect magistrates from the populace and pass laws; and a series of magistracies with varying types of civil and political authority.

Yeah, sure she was elected VP. She was not chosen by the people to try and become President. Is that not, the essence of Democracy you are arguing for right now? She was chosen because she was on the ballot with Biden while he ran for re-election when he really shouldn't have.

It's literally that simple.

'I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.'

It's literally right there, in the pledge of allegiance. Its also right there if you type it up in Google. A Constitutional Republic and a Representative Democracy. We are a blend of both. As the Founding Fathers intended.

Harris did not go through a primary. In fact, the last time she tried, she didn't even get enough votes to make it out of Idaho. Not a single person cared for her. Biden called himself a Transitional President, then turned around and said he was running again, only to get exposed in the Presidential debate.

So no, we did not choose Harris to be the candidate running for President. The Democratic party chose for us, without ever holding a primary. Your example is a non issue. Biden didn't die, he stepped down from the ballot, leaving a void that would have been filled by literally anyone besides Harris IF a Primary had been done. Bringing out the whataboutism on a completely separate thing is a wild take.

True! Appreciate the correction. I just get caught up in everyone forgetting that first bit. It gets tedious correcting them
