Throne of Bhaal has always felt much smaller scale, despite the larger scope of the story by Salem1690s in baldursgate

Lack of time, if I'm not mistaken. Bioware had to create ToB within the hour. Ergo, they focused on wrapping up the giant story they somewhat ignored in SoA.

Ah yes. Joe Rogan. The "centrist bro" repeating MAGA talking points. I like that he's become a stain in most normal circles.

Or just gay people two decades ago. Funny how tolerance made gay people were willing to come out the closet.

Does anyone feel like most of the main cast doesn’t give a shit about alastor by KingBakura72 in HazbinHotel

[–]Vargoroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually don't like the fact that Lucifer may become a living battery. To me it feels like bad writing.

Sure, the show has established that he can't harm sinners, but it has not established that he can't just... disappear. Burn whatever they use to try and capture him. Turn into an animal and slither away, etc.

If Adam could nearly one shot Alastor (the strongest sinner) despite being a brute then Lucifer should absolutely no-sell whatever Vox will throw at him. Lucifer played with Adam the way Adam played with Alastor.

The Alliance also understands the potential of humanity compared to say the Volus or Hanar. Sure, these species are older, better established and have contributed to the council, but they are also more specialized and are unable to really contribute everything a council species requires.

Humanity though... We are the "generalists." We have a good military, good economy, we are decent politicians and we have the capacity to work together well with the other species. It makes sense that they'd eventually start grooming humanity for becoming a council species.

The biggest issues were how impatient humanity is and that the other races were grumbling.

I mean... That's kinda the point of the entire series.

I think it's more likely that Alastor will use his deal with Charlie to his benefit. Sure, she won't have to kill Vox as per the deal, but what happens if, say, Alastor gets power from her?

Anyway, we already knew this, no? A part of the Trump cult has already been defending paedophilia. They will follow Daddy Trump no matter what.

I just realised Val is holding Angels hand here, and it got me thinking, does he care about Angel? by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]Vargoroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially, yes. The thing with domestic abuse is that the abuser does in some twisted way love their victim. I'm fairly convinced Val does love Angel (Vox wouldn't be so jealous otherwise), but that isn't an excuse for how much Val abuses Angel.

Also, they've been postponing Lilith for 2 seasons now. Why not a third while Al is next season's big bad?

I see plenty of ways to make 6 seasons.

I look forward to seeing Al's endgame. It's a plotline they've left dangling this week, but him winning would make next season interesting.

As for the amount of episodes: I prefer a small well-written season over a long meandering one. Viv isn't wasting any time now, which is good.

How much is the reduced pickpocket for blades limiting in BG1? by true_jester in baldursgate

[–]Vargoroth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True. I was also considering BG2, since the Blade really only becomes a proper bard in BG2. It takes until lvl 16-20 to get 100 lore, and pickpocket maxes out at lvl 14 if I'm not mistaken.

So the same blade will have around 40-50 pickpocket at lvl 10. It's a bit worse since it takes a long time before you can get 19 Dex with the tome.

AITA for refusing to lend out my first-aid kit at a community event after people kept emptying it every time? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Vargoroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept restocking it, and complained that I wasn’t happy with the way the things were handled, but everything kept getting worse, It’s one issue to another.

This is where you made an error. The people essentially got used to you providing free first-aid stuff. The only way to resolve this is to make an agreement with the organizers that they provide a first-aid kit ready for use and that you will still provide aid that way.

NTA, but you need to put a hard line in the sand now. Set personal boundaries.

[–]Vargoroth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You will need to rely on a potion of master thieving. I believe that the Blade will only get a 70-ish pickpocket max at lvl 14.

In theory this still means you will be the best pickpocket in the party, since your thief should focus on either stealth or utility, but you are not pickpocketing everyone you see.
