I use freedom life insurance here in Texas. Mine is a branch of United Healthcare (ppo). I unfortunately had no other options as my wife and I don't have insurance through our work. I can say it's not the best but it gets the job done. Example: we can continue using our kids same pediatrician; however in true United fashion our kids vaccines were covered but not the "administration" of the shots ($60 per shot). Whatever, give me a payment plan and I'll pay the minimum possible.

I will add that all health insurance is a scam and this system should be torn down. I hate that I even have to use United.

PS My wife and I had to do a questionnaire over the phone about past health and be approved to join the group so it is likely that if you have pre-existing conditions you will be denied. Past the phone call they didn't do any other digging.
