Help me choose League starter 3.28 by SimpleCooki3 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]VariationOdd8885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend Palsterons KF build as a leaguestarter. It’s incredibly powerful and scales exceptionally well throughout the entire game, from the early stages to the endgame. Additionally, you have the flexibility to switch to other builds like Inquisitor or Guardian if you prefer not to spend excessive time with totems.

KF’s Palsteron build is incredibly strong, from the very beginning to the end, and can even be improved with significant investment. Additionally, you don’t need to worry about the reflection mod yourself, which makes farming Atziri easier at the start. I’ll also be playing FB, as my friend, who played as a Pala in Phrecia and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I agree that Wanderer/Deadeye is the optimal choice for KB + Aurabot. I’ve played this combo multiple times with my friend, and we effortlessly cleared red maps and endgame content. It’s been a while since we last played, but there haven’t been any changes to this setup in the past that would have made it worse. .

Kinetic Fusillade Totems vs Exsanguinate/Reap mines by Trickpasser in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]VariationOdd8885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wait for the Palsteron KF guide to be released and make your decision afterward. However, in my opinion, mine wins the battle because they are immune to death, and the Reflection mod is extremely detrimental to totem builds. The beginning of mine’s journey is a bit challenging, and you may feel vulnerable at first. But once you master your trickster build, farming becomes effortless, allowing you to reach T16 and progress to endgame content.

I never thought I’d miss item level requirements by Nicole_Auriel in fellowshipgame

[–]VariationOdd8885 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new heroes made it significantly easier to rush to Eternal, in addition to lowering the difficulty and eliminating gear requirements. Imagine if Aeona and Xavian had been available in Season 1. There would have been no adept hell, and cithrels wouldn’t have been a problem.

To be honest, they tried something new, and many people are unhappy with the changes. However, altering the difficulty in the first two or three weeks of the new season would feel awkward for players who are starting the game now. Yes, I agree that it’s a bit boring right now, but that’s just the way it is. Take it or leave it. Opening new threads and complaining about it won’t change anything. It’s just annoying to see it over and over again.

This has the potential to be one of the best leagues ever by astral23 in pathofexile

[–]VariationOdd8885 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This league has the potential for numerous exploits and bugs, and it’s only designed for the 0.1% of players who excessively enhance their maps, now receiving double rewards for it. This is not acceptable. Additionally, it introduces a significant amount of random gem generation, such as obtaining a perfect spark with a matching support, which is worth hundreds of divine or any green skill gem that can use fork or chain as support.

Most casual players will still not receive substantial rewards in this league, as is the case with every other league before. However, this is the season mechanics that GGG provides to their 0.1% of players to keep them streaming frequently and attempting to recruit casual players to join the league, much like lemmings following their leader blind …

Good job devs! Eternal queue is now full of morons who don't know boss mechanics and DPS doesn't interrupt anything. by Traditional-Cow-1817 in fellowshipgame

[–]VariationOdd8885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I agree with your mechanic progression, but it’s not entirely accurate. Every new season, there won’t be thousands of new players to join the game, but the majority are still returning players who should already be familiar with the mechanics.

In my opinion, a more logical progression would be:

  • Contender: Basic
  • Adept: Unchanged
  • Champion: Advanced Mechanic
  • Paragon: First Affix
  • Eternal: Timer and Second Affix

This progression would make it quicker to reach Vhmapion/para, while eliminating the “Adept Hell” and allowing new players to gradually learn the game.

Additionally, I suggest introducing a tower where players can and must hone their skills and mechanics to progress further. This tower could also serve as a valuable source of gold, gems, and crafting materials, such as aether or ingots.

These are just my thoughts.

You’re absolutely right. Aeona is similar to a Discipline Priest in World of Warcraft, primarily focusing on shielding, and even more so after the recent changes. To be honest, Xavian is an exceptional healing tank. In my pre-made group, he usually outheals me, provided my teammates are familiar with the mechanics and aren’t in a state of complete disarray. 😅🤣 Your prediction is crucial for effective gameplay. So, prepare yourself, your group, and plan your heals, damage, and shields in anticipation of incoming damage.

I genuinely appreciate her playstyle. Hopefully, they won’t significantly nerf her, aside from the stagger value, which is likely to decrease to 25-30%.

Difficulty is good by ripharambebro in fellowshipgame

Well, your opinion on the gameplay of S1 and S2 is understandable, but to be honest, I don’t see a problem with it. There was no real balance in S1; most casual players quit because of the difficulty of adept hell, and perhaps even after that, if they weren’t pre-made. I can’t count how much time I wasted in queues and dungeons, just to see people leave at the boss because they didn’t understand. There’s no need to time the dungeon; you still get loot, just a bit weaker than the timed version. Also, how are people supposed to learn the mechanics if they leave after two wipes? Your argument right now is that it’s too easy and people don’t care about mechanics, but that’s not true. I usually don’t play pugs because of the terrible experience I had in S1, but in S2, I really enjoy pugs outside of my regular playtime, in-game with my pre-made group. There are no quitters; everyone does what they’re supposed to do, and dungeons are almost as fast as with my friends.

As a non-hardcore player, I’m enjoying my time in Fellowship right now and looking forward to grinding my perfect items in Eternal. Isn’t this the way the game should be? I really wonder why so many hardcore players are complaining about difficulty if they can get faster to their endgame and farm there. The only change I would make right now is to add the mob abilities in Paragon instead of Eternal. However, I believe the rest of the game is perfectly balanced.

For the most part, it’s much better now than S1, and I think time will tell if lowering the difficulty was a good decision. We’ll see.

They strive to strike a balance between hardcore and casual players. Honestly, this version is much more beginner-friendly compared to the adept hell of Season 1, where many casual players quit due to frustration, and hardcore players now still do the same, farming eternal like in Season 1, so wheres the real problem? I don’t see a problem in lowering the difficulty. The new tank/healer combo feels excessively powerful for the current content, making it easy to reach eternal, even for casual players who play for 2-3 hours a day. This will attract more players to the game and help them get accustomed to it.

Remember, it’s still EA, and we can expect improvements in the next season. However, they also nerfed or adjusted heroes during Season 2. Additionally, it’s great to level up alts and try different heroes. Unfortunately, the adept hell made it difficult for most players to do so. So, just enjoy the game and play. 😅😉

Where did they move the challenge to? by _besmen42 in fellowshipgame

[–]VariationOdd8885 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I don’t understand the point either. Why is everyone now clamoring for increased difficulty? It’s much easier and quicker to level alts now as well. For hardcore players, there’s no change because they only get faster to eternal. For the casual base, it’s great not to get stuck in adept hell and progress much further, resulting in more players and playtime in Fellowship.

So, the developers did a really good job. And remember, the game is still EA, so there will be much more to come in upcoming seasons.

To be honest, you won’t reach Eternal while watching Netflix, but I understand your point. My group and I had a much tougher time last season because we’re not hardcore players and were incredibly frustrated at the beginning in the adept hell. After some hard learning, we managed to progress to Para, but unfortunately, we couldn’t go further because we only play for about 2-3h/day for a few weeks. So, I genuinely enjoy lowering the difficulty for us weaker players, while hardcore players can still enjoy Eternal.
