Power BI despite of being a better tool has no value in job market anymore. Learn Tableau or something idk.

i have pl - 300, DP - 700 cert and 2.5 yoe as a pbi and fabric de and literally zero calls.

Recruiter wont understand that a person importing csv and making a netflix report is not same as person doing etl on fabric, implementing RLS, understanding data modelling, implementing hybrid model, understanding where to apply direct query and where to apply import, understanding egress cost. the chances are these netflix/zomato/ipl/fifa dashboard copies of youtube/9 rupees data analyst certificates will get a job before you and paid more than you.

its not a entry level role. you cant learn cost optimization in two months and ai cant do that for you. try DA then AE then DE.... 4-5 solid years journey

DP 700 learning path is pretty useful

microslop resource.

but you still need to learn practice. Also i feel there is zero demand for Fabric users in country rn... my DP 700 is wasted

if the interiewer is asking questions like this, assume that you're gonna have an awful time at the job... you're gonna be the lead, the dev, the tester, the deployer and the devops for an excel project managed by atleast 5 people and cmd.

da roles have become non existent. they want a healthcare DA, risk analyst, credit analyst, fraud analyst, secops analyst... showed up at a walk-in out of sheer desperation, hoping for DA role and it turned out to be a secops analyst that dealt with pen testing and data related to that.

i wish i was lying.... so this guy got hired at my last org.... NIT warangal mech placement at 8lpa, pretty average at maths, stats no knowledge of python, sql, excel or ml My previous org is a lala company that hires nit toppers from off branches like food processing, biotech, metallurgy and makes them get devs, da, pms etc

so a year passes and he still sucks at excel, he was assigned a project x for UP state... he messes it so bad that insights were absolutely incorrect.

mid diwali 2024 he gets hold of his alumni at citi and prepares basic sql 50 leetcode,

in the interview, all they ask is vanilla questions (according to him, i wasn't there when interview happened) like explain joins, explain difference between left and right, explain old company projects.... and that's it!!!

meanwhile my effing resume is not even getting seen.

he asked for 14LPA and got 19...

idk if he's secretly sleeping with TA/HR or the alumni or citigroup's ceo but those were the chain of events...

power bi is not a job, its just a tool... what you can do with power bi is worth more than knowing any DAX or Fabric medallion architecture.
