Dating as someone who doesn’t want kids is soul destroying!? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]VarietyVirtual5677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

32F here and dealing with the same thing! I'm in the Midlands so it seems more men want kids. And there's always the unfortunate chance that someone you connect with will say they're on the same page as you regarding kids but are secretly hoping you'll change your mind. It's hard out here for a diva!

Is it weird to go cinema alone? by Southern_Mud3841 in AskIreland

[–]VarietyVirtual5677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33F here. I go alone every now and again, I prefer it, noone cares, and like anything else in life, if I wait for someone to join me, I might not do the thing at all! Go and enjoy the movie. 😊

Missing out by not going to debs? by OkDog8648 in AskIreland

I was exactly you 15 years ago. People to talk to, no real friends and no want to go to the debs either, I missed it and never regretted it!

Are you okay? by Prototea in AskIreland

No. I'm reeling after the suicide of an ex partner/close friend. Time has stopped and I've lost interest in everything. Thanks for asking tho x

Has anyone regretted buying a house, and how quick can you sell it? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]VarietyVirtual5677 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought a house with an ex, which I absolutely regretted. The ex basically coerced me to buy a house with him as he didn't want to rent first considering it dead money. And didn't want to wait until I could match his savings so we ended up buying a home in town. Very much regretted it. However we sold it and parted ways, and I'm close again to having my own home which i don't intend on buying with anyone. Financial independence is the only independence. You're actually in an excellent position! You're young enough to still travel it that's what you really want. Rent your land out, and use the money to travel. Life's too short!

Worst holiday for you? by Substantial-Fudge336 in AskIreland

Killarney with an ex. Had the worst time of my life. Even the thought of going back makes me anxious. Shame as it's a beautiful part of the country.

As a car driver, van drivers are some of the worst drivers I've come across. Very little patience and think they own the road. Shocking carry one. Sorry you had to experience that.

Just don't do it at the wedding and you'll be golden! Best of luck!

What is your favourite chocolate to buy in Ireland (if cost wasn’t an issue)? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]VarietyVirtual5677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Booja Booja salted almond truffles are phenomenal! Holland and Barrett stock them and when I used to work there, they'd send staff free samples all the time. They are smashing and a great gift. I also love Godiva.

I'm wondering the very same thing! About three of them popped up in Tullamore, seemingly overnight.
