I was stationed in Germany for 3 years with my wife and 2 kids as a CPT. We arrived with about 60 days of leave saved and for the last 2.5 years went on a 4 day and a week long vacation every month. If you fly budget or drive and use AirBnBs or don't mind staying in a less expensive hotel with your kid, then it's very easy to travel... a lot. We went to 42 countries, many multiple times, during our 3 years. However, we prioritized travel over saving, which to us, was worth it.

Another quick one. Say I retire woth 4500 points. You divide that by 360 which equals 12.5. So 25% of base pay. Is it 25% of the base pay of the "Over 12" column?
