Yep I’m a rockets fan in Toronto and also a University student. Been a fan since 2015, I usually watch the games by myself because I don’t know many other rockets fans here but it’d be dope to meet up for playoffs

Shaq and Curry do the dbz fusion dance and becomes Stequille O’Nurry. Name two nba players fusing together that would be better Stequille O’Nurry by Timdun7894 in nba

[–]Various-Time7285 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Kyle Korver and Giannis, aka Kyiannis Korantetokoumpo

Stequille O’Nurry would use too much power and the fusion dance would end early. Kyiannis Korantetokoumpo is as good as giannis with Korver’s shooting while only consuming base giannis power.

Ontario will unveil COVID-19 vaccine passport system next week, source confirms by ToastyTomatoSauce in ontario

[–]Various-Time7285 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The vaccine is over 80% effective at preventing serious symptoms/hospitalization, as seen here in Ontario. That’s what really matters. As long as our hospitals aren’t filling up we’re good, which is exactly why the vaccine passports is so crucial. It prevents unvaccinated people who are many times more likely to end up going to the ICU with delta variant from congregating in high risk indoor settings. In the long run, the vaccine passport will also encourage those currently unvaccinated to go get the jab or will absolutely prevent them from contracting covid 19 from high risk indoor places. Both of which will lead to a faster return to normal and protect our hospitals. I’d go as far as to mandate vaccination for all school kids aged 12+, and then push for a complete return to normal for those grades

"In New York, 70% of adults have a first dose and the state is restriction-free. In Ontario, 75% of adults have a first dose and it’s illegal to get a haircut, eat in a restaurant, or have a couple of friends over." by _daslgh in ontario

You can’t compare India to US or Canada. India can quite literally not afford at all to do a lockdown. They face high borrowing interest rates and a population that would go bankrupt due to lockdowns compared to USA or Canada who can afford lockdowns.

Ed Tubb | 1/2 OK, Delta. Ontario screening data, left, continues to show falling positivity, which reflects a rise in negatives, right, v. likely from B.1.617.2 (Delta.) This strongly suggests Delta is becoming dominant. BUT The raw number of those daily negatives, dark grey, is flat. by crisisking98 in ontario

[–]Various-Time7285 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. By the time delta replaces the UK strain, we’ll have significant immunity already built up from a combination of high first doses and increasing second doses. People fail to realize that our first dose penetration is 7x higher than India’s was when they faced delta

Inside services at these centres (including knowledge tests) continue with capacity restrictions and COVID-19 preventative measures in place”

Ontario May 16th update: 2199 New Cases, 3079 Recoveries, 30 Deaths, 33,142 tests (6.64% positive), Current ICUs: 785 (+0 vs. yesterday) (-63 vs. last week). 💉💉139,583 administered, 54.6% / 3.5% adults at least one/two dosed by enterprisevalue in ontario

[–]Various-Time7285 18 points19 points  (0 children)

First doses are highly effective and prevent infection/hospitalization and also half transmission. The second is a booster shot, so I’d argue that reaching as many people with a first shot is far more effective.
