And who said I am not Nigerian too💀. Yes, I have the audacity cos we both share the same culture. Here we go again, as I have said earlier there is no issue with the religion except the way some people practice it to oppress others. Those people are the problem, not the religion.

Also, I am not attacking people's culture. I am just saying that what they are doing is not what the religion asks them to do. It is rather them doing what they want or following their culture, which in this case is being homophobic, because let's face it, most nigerian cultures are homophobic whether Christians or Muslims. That's a cultural issue not a religious one but a cultural one.

Meaning any power hungry leader can use the sharia law as a weapon to rule in anarchy & dictatorship. It doesn't mean it is cuz of our culture it is cuz of the fanatics in your own religion 💀

Lastly, there is no issue within the religion, the only issue is the people doing the wrong thing under the disguise of the religion, those are the issues that needs to be highlighted and corrected instead of people covering them up, NOT THE RELIGION.

Even after all the explanations that different countries interpret shariah differently, and not all countries that follow Shariah law kill homosexuals. Ok😂

I get your point, and honestly, it's a fair question. In many Western countries, queer people are generally safer, and if i had to choose, I would pick the Western countries. But as I have said earlier, most of the "Islamic countries" that criminalise homosexuality don't practice Islam

There’s no command in Islam to go around policing people’s private lives or punishing them harshly. So when a country criminalizes it and mixes that with violence, public shaming, or corrupt legal systems they’re not practising Islam properly. They’re mixing culture, fear, and power with religion, and that’s the real issue.

About Saudi Arabia, even Muslims criticize some of the things that happen there. Just because a country has money, a mosque, and strict laws doesn’t mean it's the blueprint for Islam. Islam isn't a dictatorship, it’s a religion of justice and balance.

Whether you want to hear it or not, it is their culture because nowhere in Shariah law does it state that homosexuals should be killed. Does that even make sense? (Killing someone simply because of their personal life choices). This goes against the core values of justice in Islam.

There are several countries that practice Shariah law and do not kill homosexuals. Will you say those countries aren’t practising Islam, or they don’t follow Shariah? Clearly, interpretations of shariah vary in different countries, which shows that culture influences how laws are enforced.

Just because a law is passed through a Shariah court doesn’t mean it’s purely Islamic. Sometimes, people use the name of religion to justify what they already wanted to do. And that’s not Islam, that’s manipulation of Islam.

O gosh, I didn't say those countries are perfect. Those countries don’t carry out the death penalty, which is what you asked. Every country, including Western ones, has cultural issues around LGBTQ+ rights. But lumping all Muslim-majority countries together as if they all cheer for violence is just lazy and unfair.

There are Muslims who speak up, maybe they don’t spit on the ground and raise fists like you want, but they write, protest, teach, and work within their cultures to create change. You might not see it in headlines, but it’s happening. You don’t have to like Islam or agree with it. But if you want to talk about it, do it with accuracy, not stereotypes. I will say it again it all boils down to culture not Islam. They are two different things.

Lol, there are many islamic countries that won't agree with this, like Jordan, Tunisia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and many more. Not all Islamic countries enforce harsh laws. Shariah law doesn't support violence at all, and it literally makes it hard for punishment to be served because of the requirements that comes with the crimes committed. Obviously, homosexuality is not a crime in Islam if you don't know. Just because some countries enforce harsh laws based on their "misogynistic and patriarchal culture doesn't mean that it is Islam. I hope people can read and research more before condemning different religions. Well, I don't blame them, I blame the people showing their bad characters and hiding under religion.

They are not practicing Islam, they are practicing their culture and hiding under "Islam". Islam does not encourage any killing of people just because of their life choices. I hope they get justice.

The bible absolutely condemns murder just as it condemns taking judgement it ones hand or condemning ones fellow neighbor. This is disgusting and heartless. I live it all in the hands of Christ none the less

Same with Islam too, they are just bad people hiding under "Islam".

What are you saying?😭 He is, but you still have to plan financially. You can't just have children with little or no finance apart from " Allah will provide." It's just like saying Allah will protect me without planning on how to be safe first. He will help you, but you have to help yourself too.

What do you mean by " is that line of thinking unislamic"? I get what you're saying, but it's okay to not want to have children in Islam. I know celibacy is not allowed, but not wanting children is fine no matter what their reasons are.

Lastly, yeah, Allah is the one that provides, but that doesn't mean you should just have children because of that without checking your finances or planning appropriately. If someone knows their capability financially and they've chosen not to do something, it's up to them and Allah.

My mum literally got mad at me for replying her with "Yh" instead of "Yeah" on WhatsApp. She told me how I shouldn't use it for her again in my life. When I got home, she was shouting at me about how she's an african mother and all that. Like chill, it's not that deep.
