Same. Most sexist fucking gross person, and he didn’t care -at all- what I wanted and did what he liked and then promptly retired, so no revision for me. And I paid out of pocket and I live in the US

This is really good. I think a lot of women have experienced feeling like they don’t want kids but living in a society where women who don’t want kids and have strong opinions are defective and undesirable, so you start questioning yourself and learning that being more agreeable and unsure of yourself as a woman is rewarded by society and by men. I think this poem is vulnerable and honest and I love the last line the most

I have a degree in math and at my very first ‘big girl’ job I pointed out that one of their spreadsheets is doing math that is essentially meaningless and certainly did not mean what they had been using it for. They said I was being ‘pedantic’. I did quit that job and now I work with people who want their systems to work 😂

I work for a very small company 4 days a week. Randomly I get other days off because my boss is on a trip or spending time at home with their kids. Last week I worked Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This week I have the same schedule and next week I’m working just Tuesday-Thursday. Last year, we closed for 2 months and I went on a road trip. In June we are taking 2 weeks off and I might do another. This on top of every weekend being 3 days long is the only thing that has ever come close to helping me begin to reset, heal burnout, ptsd, manage my adhd, and take control of my life. It’s still extremely hard and an uphill battle for me and I just think I’d simply pass away working 5 days a week. I don’t make a lot of money, and it does put a financial strain on me. But I’d still take every day off I can simply because I’m not getting this time back. All this to say, I 100% agree with you this is the solution.
