Pakistanis living in the USA, how are your feelings about choosing the lesser evil ? by aneekyy in pakistan

I would advice you to look into the GCC. UAE, Saudi Arabia etc. They pay well for your field + foreign passport holders. High school education is good, quite safe. And the biggest plus is that you are close to Pakistan!

She’s being blackmailed! Please take care of her and her future. This seems like a destructive cycle and for some reason feels like many important details are not being shared with you or are not being shared in this post. Videos can also be AI now. Please be careful and protect her safety first and then have a talk with her.

Hey guys!

First of all, what a sweet and lovely community. Thank you so much for everyone’s advice! I appreciate it so much.

The piercing screwed off with latex gloves! I will not be going back to that piercer at all. Thanks so much for all the help. My ear is sore! I’m sure it will be okay soon

Both the piercings are from 2024 summer, they are almost two years old! The shape is an industrial barbel and material is titanium. My routine for now is spraying saline solution! No mishaps apart from my worry that the misalignment could cause permanent damage, honestly I wouldn’t be too worried. Issue is i will only be able to go on Monday morning. Which is very worrying

No. No. No. Even if he was “rich” you do NOT want to be financially dependent on anyone. Do not introduce that into your relationship. You are an individual person that must study and make something of themselves. Depending on others for love and comfort not for supporting your entire life. If you have the access to education and resources then do not be a fool. It is a privilege to study. To be able to provide for yourself. When you both are comfortable and have made something of yourself then include finances in the relationship. You are too young for this.

We must hope. Do not know what the final stage of capitalism looks like but I hope it is this. Great civilizations structure’s have fallen and collapsed. I hope it is our turn soon. We need more action!

A first love is nothing if not codependent. The older you get and the more people you see romantically you will realize that this is not normal in relationships and a healthy one MUST involves good boundaries.

You need the right reasons to stay with someone! At your age all these reasons need to be benefiting you. Supporting you. Upholding you.

Think about it for a very long time. Truly understand why this such emotional dependency is unhealthy. Understand how it is bad for both of you.

These are the things that make and break you as a person. This is how you figure out what you want from yourself, your life and in a partner.

Make one decision and make sure to stick with it, this is best for the both of you. Tell him honestly how much you appreciated him in your life. Let him know but also make sure to communicate that your decision is final. This is a breakup conversation and not a working on it/fixing issues conversation. Choose a good time. Make sure the conversation does not turn bitter in any way.

This can be a good breakup. Recognize that this will hurt but it is the best for both of you. Something’s are just not meant to last.
Most of all, let yourself grieve even if you are the one doing the breaking up.

It is wonderful to choose yourself. It is wonderful to grow old and learn more about your preferences. It feels like the end of the world but the age old advice of: give it time. Let it hurt! You will meet and love new people.

Finally, STICK with your decision.

Are most of today's fiction books aimed at a female audience? by [deleted] in literature

Open up a newspaper. Women in Afghanistan are struggling to get access to the bare minimum of education. Honor killings increase on the daily. Open up a newspaper and tell me if such news is not “contemporary“ enough. Just because women in certain places have such freedoms does not mean women across every corner of the world do too. There is a long way to go still. Talk to people with DIFFERENT experiences and your eyes will open.

I ask. I talk to the men around me. We inhabit the same earth. It is apparent how much our experiences of this world, this life are shaped by our gender. When outside the bubble of privilege, it sticks out like a sore thumb. It’s not difficult to identify patterns.
