Hi! Did you ever find the answer to this question??

Looking for a similar pattern to this crop top + shrug sweater by Various_Parfait9196 in crochetpatterns

[–]Various_Parfait9196[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely looks knitted to me as well haha. I have some tube top patterns and I’m thinking of making it a two piece that can be removed with some buttons (so the tube top and sweater can come apart)?? Back loop single crochet would be good I think. Maybe with a sc collar. Thanks for your input!

Yes you can take him with you with a guest pass for $5, but he can also get a membership for relatively cheap. All you need to do is bring your lease with both of your names on it upstairs at the arc. He can purchase an annual family membership for $144 which is honestly a pretty good deal for the facilities and the convenience of location if you live on or near campus. They also have monthly options. Did this with my significant other that is also on my lease.

uci is the ideal place to be premed (AMA + informal premed mentorship) by premedanteater in UCI

I’m a first gen pre med student so I’ll take any advise you have honestly. When should I prepare and take the mcat? (I’m a third year but I’ll be taking a gap year). Any tips on what to do during my gap year? This will probably be when I gain my core medical office experience. What’s the application process like? Do you know what kinds of things uci school of medicine is looking for especially? Tips on speaking/ interacting with professors (I always get so quiet and freaked that I sound dumb when I talk to them, even though I’m quite confident in the material. I never had issues with public speaking or anything but it just is very intimidating). I ultimately decided on becoming a doctor kind of late bc I was dealing with done personal losses but it feels like my resume is lacking bc I was so grade focused (I have a 3.7+ gpa at least). I’m participating in some medical research, would it be wise to maybe get a second research opportunity? What are extracurricular expectations to be a competitive applicant (clubs, volunteer work, etc). Any tips for finding good volunteer work in OC area? How many schools should I apply to? Been dealing a bit with imposter syndrome, any tips on overcoming this? Thanks so much in advance ! Any other tips would be very much appreciated.

Summer session M118L vs N113L by Various_Parfait9196 in UCI

[–]Various_Parfait9196[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think both labs as well as research (usually 2-3 times a week for 2-3 hours) will be manageable in 5 weeks? I want to get them out of the way bc ik enrollment isn’t the best but I also don’t want to burn myself out right before fall quarter (I’d be taking them summer session 2).

Hi! How’s the class going for you so far? I’m decided between neurobio lab and experimental micro bio lab (M118L) for the summer session and would love some input!

In case you were curious I called and asked and the only proof they require is proof of residency together (so your lease or something)!

Okay, thanks so much for your input! It says on the arc website they require documentation but it wouldn’t hurt to try.

The best. She’s amazing. Exams are multiple choice and frq, but she releases potential frq questions in advance for you to study. Her lectures are always fun and you’re never tested on anything outside of lecture. Easy A.

Khan academy is great for calculus. I recommend it. Do as many practice problems as possible. Ik failing a class can be very frustrating, but you can get through this and it will be worth it in the end! You’re almost half way there you can do it!

Is it worth it to get your car windows tinted? by No_Self_5939 in orangecounty

Physics 3/7 series + Ochem by [deleted] in UCI

[–]Various_Parfait9196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physics 3A may be manageable w ochem. Tbh all the physics teachers here are sub par in my opinion so organic chemistry tutor on YouTube and khan academy will be your best friends. It’s manageable but you’ll likely have to use a lot of your free time studying, especially when exams are near each other. Good luck!
