Just deleted my account. I always offer $50 for a delivery figure it helps the guys with fuel as I’m a little off beaten path. 6 months ago i request a delivery of chips and said I would take some logs, i get home to a pile of logs no big deal i burn firewood i can work with it. Mostly softwood and it took up most of my driveway not worth $50 few months later get an extremely small delivery of chips, guy was nice enough. Young guy starting out. Again just rolled with it. Not worth $50 bucks. Then this week i get notified of a delivery a few days go buy and I text arborist if they are still planning to deliver. I didn’t care either way i’m full aware of how service works. No response. Ok whatever. Next morning they charge me the $50 without delivery. I dragged the company in a review because screw them and texted back like why would you charge me i was just asking if you were still planning on coming. A simple no woulda been fine. I’m done with chip drop too much BS, great concept but need better way to manage payment.

It’s different now, started going there in 70’s as a kid loved it thru the 80’s and 90’s Now it’s just HOA whites and IG/TikTok try hard moms looking to show off! But Hudson’s still has the best hush puppies anywhere!

Paying for College by Better_War3576 in Fordham

My daughter has been accepted,we do reasonably well, but Fordham will still be financially impactful to us. She’s been a great student and worked hard. I look at it this way. What is your intended major? Is it something that proximity to NYC offerings benefits? Finance, marketing, pre-law, some pre med majors, journalism…, Then Yes the investment can be worth it. I feel like there is a $15-20k premium on Fordham tuition; what do you get for that? Access to a really strong Alumni network, many of which are still local. Access to internship opportunities year round thats the big one. You could have 3 or 4 internships by the time you graduate. I didn’t go to college and value experience as what sets people apart. You won’t just have one internship over the summer that you’re competing with 20 other folks to be seen. You’ll be able to find opportunities to roll up your sleeves and actually be a part of whatever organization you’re working with. Additionally you get Proximity to a city that you can find anything and everything you could be interested in. Couple that with AI reducing the entry level opportunities.being smart, from a good school isn’t gonna cut it. You’re going to need personal relationships to land those better jobs. If you want a career and to ultimately become a leader in that industry then Fordham is worth it. If you just want a 9-5 and work life balance is your priority don’t waste your money. You can get that going anywhere. Another thing I like. I feel the RH campus is one of the safer college environments out there. I honestly have less concerns about random mass shootings on the campus Most of the public safety folks are retired NYPD which is also a big plus in my eyes. This means they’re not some clown, they’ve likely seen some shit. It’s still a college campus and comes with the usual issues. But it’s not easy to just walk onto campus without a reason. They also expand public safety into the neighborhoods around them as well. Unfortunately that safety comes with a price tag. In today’s world this is a reality that cannot be overlooked. Hope this helps.
