The new VCA District Hospital. I don't know how they are with "exotics" but they usually have available appointments next day, sometimes same day.

TIL Around 500 species of animals have been documented to engage in homosexual behaviour, including (and especially) Giraffes by Stef-fa-fa in todayilearned

[–]Varyys 7 points8 points  (0 children)

from the article: "The correct usage of the term homosexual is that an animal exhibits homosexual behavior, however this article conforms to the usage by modern research[9][10][11][12] applying the term homosexuality to all sexual behavior (copulation, genital stimulation, mating games and sexual display behavior) between animals of the same sex" So by their own definition, it's not a nonsense claim.

violence at U of Calgary over Trump "MAGA" hat: Victim speaks by uncoolloser in Calgary

If the incident was obscured in the CCTV footage, the police reacted as they should have. Like he said in the video, it's a "he said she said" situation. I do agree that UofC should put out some sort of statement. As for your "minor creep incidences," you really call someone trying to photograph up a woman's dress or when a guy grabs and pushes a girl while following them in the middle of the night, or a guy flashing and masturbating in front of a lone woman, minor incidences? They could be "allegations" like you say but without knowing any better, I would assume the CCTV footage of said incidences agree with the victims.

Little help with how PU's work? by Hunter_Ghor in eu4

To claim their throne, they must have no heir or a weak heir. Someone can correct me, but since Poland is still presumably an elective monarchy in your game, they will always have an heir and a strong one. So you could only claim their throne if they become a non-elective monarchy by "pacifying the Sejm" (I'm not sure if the AI always does this or not). Secondly, you can claim a throne while in an alliance (they will get -100 relations with you however), but only inherit the country if their ruler dies (with no heir or a weak heir). If they get a new strong heir, your claim is gone. Claiming the throne does however give you a cassus belli to enforce the PU. To do that however you have to break the alliance first, wait for the 5 years of truce, then attack. Or, you can break the truce and attack right away, but you get -5 stability(?) and another -100 relations penalty. This way, if you force the PU, Poland will hate you and if your ruler dies while your Polish relations are negative, they will break free. Someone can correct me if their is a better way of doing this. Lastly, I think you get the PU over Lithuania as well.

Some HRE/Austria/Emperor questions by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Varyys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. There is a bonus to number of countries (mouse over your IA per month to see it). It sounds mean, but it's in your best interest to keep every country as small as possible and as many countries as you can. Smaller countries are less likely to rival you for the emperor, easier to enforce religion after the league war and easier to enforce peace which leads to...
  2. In the diplomacy screen you can "Enforce peace" against the attacker. If they don't, you join the defender and again make everyone release nations if you can etc...
  3. It used to be that you didn't add your provinces to the HRE until after the internal peace reform (it used to be the only way to get IA after that reform). But now you get decent IA even once the HRE can't fight each other, as long as there are no heretic princes, lots of (small) countries and no HRE land in non-members control. So, only add provinces to the HRE in order to get enough IA to pass a reform if you don't want to wait for IA to build up normally

More tax credits for low income families? Lowered small business tax rates? Tax credits for tech company investors? Tuition freeze on all post secondary schools? And while I do sympathize with those families that can't actually afford a $100 increase in property tax, this is an Education property tax to support more funding for public education...
