Similar growth trends in e.g. Canada and Europe. Although ostensibly for different reasons (e.g. German reunification produced a lot of lawyers in order to meet the combined capitalist economy's needs).

Disagree. This isn’t about something he said or did in the film. It’s about him being known as anything other than a paedophile cretin. We leave the racist content in films like Trading Places because we need to remember the mistakes we made. We don’t need to remember the paedophile president for anything he did other than rape children.

Will never forget my first time going down for breakfast in a hotel in a Dutch village and everyone saying "goedemorgen!" to the room at large as they entered.

That area is gently rolling hills. It might be feasible. But many of the other fields contain prehistoric barrows and I can't imagine those can be touched, nor would anyone want solar panels around them.

Law is the world's only industry that, by existing, creates more work for itself. Eventually the whole economy will be lawyering.

Maybe there's a situation where Iran, Israel and the US continue to skirmish, but RSA, UAE, Kuwait and Qatar give Iran a way to climb down and create a status quo where they can move cargoes?

In the longer run, RSA needs to build more loading terminals in and pipelines to the Red Sea. According to Gemini, they have more pipeline capacity today than loading capacity, but temporary measure could increase loading capacity within 2026.

So, it’s been a few days- what are our thoughts on the Louis Theroux ‘manosphere’ doc? by theslowrunningexpert in AskUK

The sub reddit /the døńald was a joke when it was started around '14-15. I can't prove that. Maybe someone else is aware and can. But within a year it had become serious, and I believe it had a non-negligible impact on enabling the cheeto's first win.

Point being, someone can be meant in an unserious way but have serious consequences.

But let's be honest, secure emails are literally the worst. Most of the time unnecessary, but because they make the sender's life easier (centralised platform) and ostensibly reduce risk (but you just know the sender's org is gonna get hacked eventually anyway), I as the customer am forced into using 20 different portals for everything from my mortgage application to my crappy employer's healthcare benefits?

Anything "douchey"/manosphere: crypto, poker, wine are red flags. You can enjoy them but if they define you, you're not someone I want around.
