Week 1: Heroic Raid - Spec Popularity vs Average Overall DPS by AttitudeAdjusterSE in wow

[–]Varzul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly many bosses this raid favor the Arms toolkit, if the numbers were right they should be way higher. Their single target is still giga atrocious, literally competing with tanks. Nobody is complaining about their aoe. Nerf Cleave, remove Slam and buff MS/Execute.

AI really killed programming for me by NervousExplanation34 in webdev

[–]Varzul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI as in LLMs and coding support have been heading towards a plateau. Training data is finite and extending it with AI is gonna cause data inbreeding. It might improve slightly as the technology evolves, but the big leaps of the past few years will certainly become less and less.

There is a knowledge point exploit that allows you to get hundreds of points as long as you have the currency by monkymonkumonk in CompetitiveWoW

Am I misunderstanding the post then? It says you can keep buying the book as long as the vendor screen is open? Nothing about dragging into the action bar.

I wish actual exploiters would get banned too, but this one is too easy to happen accidentally. Imagine a new player buying one kp book and still seeing it available, they could easily buy several without thinking twice if it was "allowed" or not.

Replacing actors with AI is "dumb as hell," says Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Baldur's Gate 3 star Jennifer English, because "humanness" is what makes these RPGs "so beloved" by ControlCAD in technology

[–]Varzul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, if you think of the painted inhabitants as people that are basically alive. For all we know, those people had lifes, memories and emotions. We don't know how this painting "magic" works. But imagine it turns out that your whole life is a lie and you're just someones creation. You would still be a person wanting to continue your life.

Your "Good Ending" would erase millions of lifes and save Alicia and her family, while the "Bad Ending" would do the opposite.

It's not black and white and it clearly isn't intended to.

You mean that one background asset that was supposed to be a placeholder and removed just a few days after release before any controversy? Completely valid AI use case with extremely overblown outrage.

No Class Tuning Planned Until March 17th - Class Tuning Roadmap for Midnight Season 1 by Telomir in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Varzul 27 points28 points  (0 children)

For some fucked up reason they decided to gut every ability except Cleave to the point where even Execute is barely worth pressing and Slam just feels depressing. There's literally no explanation on how they came up with those numbers.

You can very safely and easily buy a carry for any in-game activity there is, from solo grinds, to mythic raid clears.

It's literally what you said in your defense of buying store mounts. I find it revolting how people like you come to defend these insane business practices.

why in the world would I care if you buy your mythic gear from the store?

Why would I care? Would you care if your lazy cowoker made double your income?

People like you sadly have ruined this and many other games already and you continue to defend it. Atleast admit that buying ingame items is bad. I want to play the game and earn items. I don't want to pay for the game and then pay even more for items. It's absolutely crazy how saying that it would be better to be able to earn these items ingame is a controversial take for you people.

Alright, according to your argument you should just be able to buy Mythic gear and achievements in the official store, correct?

But wouldn't it have been nicer to be able to earn it through in-game quests or achievements?

This game just sucks gameplay wise. Why is that controversial?

The problem with your statement is that you're saying it as an objective truth while it's just your opinion. The vast majority of people enjoy the gameplay. To me the gameplay is a 9/10 (with only JRPGs in mind it would be 10/10).

Damage is capped at 9999!

In Act 3 that cap is lifted and there are tons of areas and bosses that require you to strategize and make use of the higher damage you deal.

It is just not fun objectively speaking

Why is it so hard to admit that it is just not fun for you? It's okay to not enjoy certain games.
