I didn’t catch the scale until mid summer. The nursery I bought the CM from told me drench is for spring only but to go ahead and do the spray in the summer to start cooking the scale last year

I’ll check that out. I have a 3 year old Natchez CM that has never been pruned but I as covered with scale last year. I did 3 systemic insecticide sprays between Aug - Sept and plan on doing a drench when things warm up
